Rubio Slices and Dices Ted Lieu and His Tinfoil Hat Conspiracies About Trump Going Missing

Watching congressional hearings can sometimes be like getting a root canal, because they’re painful and boring at the same time. If the questioner is a Democrat talking to a witness who sees things differently than they do, the point is not to get actual answers — it’s to insult the person and then try to cut them off when they tend to respond.

We regularly see this type of idiocy from folks like Hawaiian Sen. Mazie Hirono, Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, New Jersey’s Cory Booker, Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen, and too many more to mention.

California Rep. Ted Lieu (D-36) is a serial offender, known for conspiracy theories and writing checks with his mouth that his brain can’t cash. His latest obsession is trying to prove that President Donald Trump is in terrible health and the GOP establishment is covering it up. This is rich, considering he was part of a Democrat gaslighting scheme that tried to convince America that Joe Biden was capable of serving another term in what could go down as one of the greatest political scandals in American history.

If you don’t believe me, take a look at the former president’s appearance at his wife Jill’s book interview on Tuesday and tell me you think this man could be serving as commander in chief right now.

It didn’t take long for Secretary of State Marco Rubio to cut him down to size during a House Foreign Affairs Committee meeting Wednesday:

LEIU: There's a reason he [Trump] keeps going to the hospital, and they keep giving him cognitive tests. We have not seen the president in eight days. [What are you even smoking, Ted? The dude never stops.] The American people deserve the truth.

I yield back.

Rubio could barely contain his astonishment. “Just how stupid is this guy?” he seemed to be thinking.

RUBIO: I don't even know how to respond to that. Other than to tell you that it's absurd and ridiculous, and I can't believe we're in a Foreign Affairs Committee meeting in front of the House, an important time in American foreign policy —

LIEU [rudely interrupting]: Just keep lying, Secretary Rubio. Just keep lying.

RUBIO: [… being questioned by] supposedly someone who thinks he's a medical expert, when he's not.

HAPPENING NOW: Secretary of State Marco Rubio shuts down “absurd and ridiculous” talking points from Democrat Rep. Ted Lieu about President Trump’s heath.

“You may not like his policies, you may not like the decisions he's made. But I assure you, this is not a president that sleeps or is cognitively impaired in any way, shape, or form. And in fact is incredibly active, much more so in many cases than much younger people that are around him. Those are facts.”

Rubio Goes Nuclear on Democrat’s Absurd Iran Claim: 'You’re Just Making Stuff Up'

Rubio went on to detail how the president works “inhumane” hours, how he doesn’t understand what Lieu is even talking about with his “eight days” silliness (we see Trump making appearances almost every single day), and how he doesn’t like to talk about the real cognitive decline issue that was Biden because it “weakens” America.

“Those are facts,” Rubio concluded. “I see it every day. You're not going to agree, because you have another narrative that you want to push, but those are the facts.”

I can’t argue with this social media post’s message:
