On Saturday, there were "No Kings" demonstrations and "protests" in several cities across the country. In many countries with an actual king, these people would not be allowed to protest. Donald Trump is far from a king, but these demonstrators are too far gone to understand that.
In some cities, those so-called protests quickly turned into riots. The demonstrators were graffitiing federal buildings; in Portland they broke open the ICE detention center gates, and in Los Angeles dozens of rioters were arrested for assaulting federal officers.
Breaking: Rioters have breached the ICE facility in Portland, breaking the gate that controls ingress and egress.

Yet Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) kinda poked a hole in her comrades' argument when she posted on X that Trump "is not, never will be, and has never been a king." She got that right. But the internet let her have it after Democrats have been pushing this talking point that Trump is a "king," "dictator," and every other name in the book.
Donald Trump is not, never will be, and has never been a king. #NoKings

One of the comments made by Scott Pressler notes why the protests that took place throughout the country were pointless:
Thank you for explaining perfectly why these protests are ludicrous.
— ThePersistence (@ScottPresler) March 28, 2026
Thus no need for No Kings protests.
— MAZE (@mazemoore) March 28, 2026
Thank you for this. Greatest self own ever.
An X account posted a reference to 1776 and how the Founding Fathers -- George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin -- took care of that problem during the American Revolution.

Here are some other X users, as well as politicians who chimed in:
Amazing to see a Senator so incompetent she’s accidentally admitting that the entire No Kings protest is incomprehensibly pointless https://t.co/g6BYbFGHXx

Brave of her to scold her own activists like this.
— Rep. Eli Crane (@RepEliCrane) March 28, 2026
He won the popular vote and every single swing state.
He’s the President of the United States. https://t.co/L3TibQo4vX

So you agree - you think your “no kings” rallies are stupid… https://t.co/HPNzjuJLOs
— Chip Roy (@chiproytx) March 28, 2026
Correct. Not sure why you’re defending him this way but correct. https://t.co/g5CNMXmSb1

🤦🏼♂️First time ever you have been truthful!
— Chad Caton🎙🇺🇸 (@ImFiredUp2) March 28, 2026
Thank you for making it clear these protests are a futile attempt to vilify the President of the United States.
Let’s build on that. I’ll send you a MAGA hat. 👍🏼 https://t.co/gZYcWKaq7z
This was probably the biggest Democrat self-own of the year, and that says a lot. After years of calling Trump all the names in the book to put fear in Americans and get them riled up enough to march in the streets, we have a Democrat senator openly admitting that Trump wasn't, isn't, and never will be a king.
Editor’s Note: Democrats are fanning the flames and raising the rhetoric by comparing ICE to the Gestapo, fascists, and secret police.
