Jill Biden has been pitching her new book, "A View From the East Wing," and even from the start, it wasn't going well. She got a huge backlash when she tried to convince people that Joe Biden's confusion during the 2024 debate was the first time she saw him like that, that she hadn't seen that "before or since," and that she thought maybe he was having a stroke.

Then she went out and buffaloed supporters about what a "great job" he did, despite just telling him that he "f**ked up."
If she was trying to convince people that she didn't know there were issues, she failed and only added to the skepticism that many already had about what she knew and her role in Joe running again.
But Jill Biden had another moment that raised eyebrows when she was doing an interview with Whoopi Goldberg about the book at the 92nd Street Y on Tuesday. Joe wandered up from his seat in the audience to the edge of the stage. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing a video on this yet, but the NY Post has the pictures.
Whoopi was wrapping up the interview. She had just read a comment thanking Biden for his service, and Jill clapped. That's when Joe interrupted.

“I have a question,” Biden said unprompted, and without a microphone, while flanked by security guards.
“Joe has a question, like you couldn’t ask it later?” Jill responded.
“Who do you love most in the whole world?” Biden postured.
“Whoopi,” Jill answered, causing the audience to break out in laughter.
As “The View” co-host tried to speak, Biden continued to stand and blankly face his wife, seemingly unhappy with her answer.
The former first lady eventually caved and said, “I love you most, Joe. Was that it? Was that the answer he wanted?”
“It’s overwhelming, isn’t it?” the 46th president continued — barely audible without a microphone.
“Overwhelming, well, that’s what keeps him on his toes, he’s never 100% sure, I always keep him guessing, is that not true?” Jill said as her husband lowered his head and did the sign of the cross.
Whoopi tried to cover the incredibly cringey moment by encouraging people to buy her book. Joe wasn't done quite yet.
But Biden remained standing and pointed his finger as the exit music played.
“My book…” Biden began before a crew member came from backstage to hand him a microphone. “My book, which comes out in September, read it…”
“Do I have to remind him that this is my event?” Jill asked jokingly.
“The only thing that Jill does better than write, she’s a beautiful woman,” Biden declared before the event finally concluded.

This was the guy they had been trying to sell to us to vote for initially in 2024. Had they pulled it off, can you imagine what would be going on now?
While we don't have video on the exchange yet, here is an Instagram clip of him walking into the event, and he looks like he is having issues here, too.
It's hard to assess without the video, but was he really putting her on the spot about loving him? And her answer is so her, it sounds essentially like, "Why are you messing with my moment?"
These incredibly awkward moments are not going to help her on her remediation tour.
