Despite efforts from the Left to shut her up, Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham is embracing the spotlight that's currently beaming down on her and running with it. And it looks like her rising star status is about to shoot right out of the stratosphere.
According to a Monday story by the New York Post, Cunningham is shopping around a "tell-all" book that is expected to ignite a bidding war amongst publishing houses.

Cunningham, 29, has been dubbed “MAGA Barbie,” and is known as much for her off-the-court comments as her aggressive style of play.
The 6-foot-1 guard — who has 3.7 million followers on Instagram — could find herself at the center of a bidding war, we hear, with the timely tome.
That "MAGA Barbie" nonsense is a ludicrous bit of wish-casting by many in the media, who'd like nothing more than to make Cunningham into a one-dimensional caricature who parrots political talking points. She's far from that, of course, and is unapologetically her own person.

The knives are out for her because of incredibly mainstream comments she made to ESPN: "I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans… And I’m like, ‘I never once said that.” She added, “I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”

Because honesty is the enemy of the Left, they've been coming for her in recent weeks, showing up to protest her at Fever games and making the game experience generally miserable for spectators. It's important to emphasize here that 69 percent of Americans want to keep biological men out of women's sport, while just 24 percent favor allowing trans athletes to compete based on "gender identity."
The backlash also reached the basketball court, with some of Cunningham's WNBA opponents targeting her with aggressive and dangerous play. On Saturday, Chicago Sky player DiJonai Carrington clotheslined Cunningham as she went in for a layup. Carrington was kicked off the court, then whined on social media about "white privilege."
Sophie hit back.
Cunningham told reporters of the incident: “This has nothing to do with race… Last year, I did the same thing, and I got kicked out. And I deserved to be kicked out. There’s no reason even to play that card.”
She's got a good head on her shoulders.
Even before her finger-pointing was enshrined in meme glory, her innocuous take on protecting girls in sports, and the clotheslining by Carrington, Cunningham was a WNBA fan favorite and has been reaping the rewards. She signed with a talent agency, was featured in the 2026 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, and served as ring girl at MMA fight.
And, of course, there was the recent release of her first-ever basketball shoe collaboration, which sold out in hours.

We, unfortunately, have precious few details at this point about what might be included in her "tell-all," but two likely topics are treatment of certain athletes by the WNBA and the delusional backlash at her wanting to protect girl athletes.
All those blue-haired weirdos who are showing up at games trying silence Sophie may want to be careful what they wish for, because if Cunningham really decides to open Pandora’s box, they might not like what comes spilling out.
