Karoline Leavitt Just Nails It on the Issue of Hypocritical Democrats and Their Anti-Tesla Messaging

As Democrats continue to self-destruct, it's important for Republicans to continue highlighting their hypocrisy and double standards in order to hammer the point home about how the left has absolutely no message other than "Orange man bad, we must resist."

A perfect example of that, as we reported, was Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), who announced nearly a week ago that he was just done with his Tesla vehicle. The reason he gave for it was that, in his view, DOGE advisor and Tesla CEO Elon Musk had "turned out to be an a******" because he supports President Donald Trump and is committed to weeding out waste, fraud, and abuse in government.

"I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship," Kelly wrote in a virtue-signaling tweet. "But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!"

His new vehicle of choice? A gas-guzzling Chevy Tahoe SUV.

My colleague Nick Arama noted at the time that Kelly "previously bragged about the Tesla's 'zero emissions.' Guess it wasn't about saving the planet."

It was Tesla/Elon hate and the Democrat hypocrisy surrounding it all that was the subject of an interview Thursday between Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

In it, Faulkner pointed to "fake" Kelly's virtue-signaling and how it undercut his message and that of similar-minded Democrats who also had previously espoused support for EVs in the name of climate change.

In response, Leavitt - who on Wednesday dunked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on this very issue - correctly observed that it just further proved the point "that the Democrat Party no longer stands for anything. They only stand against Donald Trump, even if it means contradicting themselves" and even if it meant being "okay with violence being taken against the greatest electric vehicle company in our country."

Relatedly, in the same segment, flashback clips were shown that featured then-President Joe Biden and other Democrats and media figures describing Trump voters as "extremists."

Who are the real extremists, though? Democrats and so-called journalists who either downplay or support any-means-necessary actions against Tesla and its car owners, many of who are actually leftists:

Regarding the violence we've seen at those Tesla showrooms and EV charging stations, which Trump has called "domestic terrorism," Faulkner suggested that the arson and gun violence at the Tesla locations could go south real quick in the event, God forbid, someone actually happens to be in one of the vehicles.

To that, Leavitt stated Trump "is determined to restore law and order in our country and he will ensure that the harshest penalties are pursued for those who are engaging in this vicious violence that we have seen targeted at this American company."
