WATCH: Mark Kelly Gets Rid of His Tesla—What He Does Next Is Off the Charts Hypocrisy

We've seen some crazy actions from the left in regard to Elon Musk being in charge of DOGE. Their meltdown ranges from vandalism to shooting at Tesla dealerships (or, worse, tossing Molotov cocktails at them). It's pretty crazy how the left is objecting to the simple idea of getting rid of waste, fraud, and abuse.

Some leftist celebrities have bought into this cult mentality being pushed by the Democrats, and gotten rid of their Teslas. We wrote last month about Sheryl Crow deciding to virtue signal and get rid of hers, saying she would donate the money to NPR. She didn't realize she was actually proving Musk's point -- that the government didn't need to fund NPR.

Now Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) is pushing the Musk hatred. He just announced he was getting rid of his Tesla.

Warning for graphic language:

"I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship," Kelly wrote on X. "But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!"

"New ride coming soon," he added, proudly.

In the video he posted along with it, he said that he was getting rid of his Tesla because it reminded him of the "damage" that "Elon Musk and Donald Trump is [sic] doing to our country."

He then proceeded to lie about the two, accusing them of "talking about slashing Social Security" when President Trump has said over and over again they are not doing that. But Democrats just keep lying.. I'm not even sure what he's talking about in regard to "cutting health care benefits." They just say anything at this point.

Kelly claimed that what mattered was "doing the right thing." He argued that Elon Musk turned out to be an "a**hole." "And I don't want to be driving a car built and designed by an asshole," he said.

I could say that the problem isn't the car, it's the guy who's driving it and the division he's pushing. Trump/Musk Derangement syndrome is a harmful illness.

But there's another big hypocritical point here from Kelly.

Guess what he's swapping his Tesla out for? Is is another environmentally friendly car? Nope.

Kelly pulled up to Senate votes on Friday in front of the US Capitol in a 2025 Chevy Tahoe Z71, a spokesperson confirmed to Business Insider. Unlike his former Tesla, it is an all-gas vehicle. It gets an estimated 15 miles per gallon city, 20 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

So much for the environment, and "doing the right thing." He previously bragged about the Tesla's "zero emissions." Guess it wasn't about saving the planet.

Was it ever about the environment or just virtue signaling? Now he wants to virtue signal about his Musk hate, so gas vehicle it is!

That's a Democrat.

Kelly got mocked into next week for his hypocrisy.
