Hillary Clinton recently appeared on Kara Swisher's Pivot podcast.
As I previously wrote, she appeared to say the quiet part out loud, talking about how one could subvert a president's agenda by seeding people in subordinate government civil service positions. The way she broached it was by saying the next Democratic president had to "search" out the Trump supporters/people in even the smallest positions that could subvert the Democratic agenda. That was a pretty wild statement; talk about projection and the "Deep State."

But she wasn't quite done. She also spoke to the battle between the more establishment wing and the socialist/far left wing of her party as she addressed what was happening in the Michigan Senate race. She said the far-leftists haven't always come out for the party candidate if they lost.
"One thing that we haven't yet seen enough of is that when the progressives, the left — whatever we want to call, you know, candidates on that side of the Democratic Party — when they lose, they often don't support the candidate that has been nominated," she said. "You know, there was a lot of reluctance to support Kamala Harris. There was a lot of reluctance to support me when I got the nomination. So, it can't be a one-way street."
She then said the far-leftists had to reach out to the voters they needed.
"If we're going to have a fair election, as there was in Michigan, and somebody comes out ahead, a little bit ahead, but needs to get a huge percentage of the voters that voted for Haley, they're going to have to be willing to, you know, get in — get into a conversation that brings those people over," she added, noting that the real struggle will be persuading independents and Stevens supporters.
But they haven't been doing a good job of that. Indeed, the response of one of Abdul El-Sayed's biggest supporters, Hasan Piker, to that very sentiment — that the El-Sayed team needed to reach out — was to call those Democrats saying that "Islamophobic pieces of sh**."
Clinton then revealed what she thought could be effective GOP messaging against the Democrats.

"And you can see that it’s not just about Michigan, but the Republican messaging is communist, socialist. It’s going to be a very effective attack," she said. "People on the left have to be prepared to answer that."
Now, I just might say something here you've probably never heard me say about Hillary before — she's right, on this one point, that it will be effective because it's true the Democrats are going far left.
Most Americans see what's going on here with the rise of the socialist/even more extreme wing of Democrats, and they don't like it. Most Americans reject such radical ideas. That's why you have Democrats saying they will be supporting the Republican candidate, Mike Rogers, in Michigan. They should also be hammering home why they're better on the economy and how this far-left take would make that all worse too.
What was a bit hilarious, too, was how mad Hillary's comment made people on X.

Former Clinton Pollster Has Bad News for El-Sayed in Michigan Senate Race
Meanwhile, Mike Rogers is reaching out to Democrats and folks in the center who feel alienated or that they can't support the craziness. And even a former Clinton pollster thinks it's highly likely he can pick up 5 percent from that, which in a close race could turn the tide.
So please, Democrats, keep fighting.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
