There's one thing on which you may utterly rely, where the far-left is concerned: Whatever they say, whatever position they take, it's about principals, not principles. In other words, it's all about The Side, and they won't sell out one of their own unless (like in the recent case of the Nazi-tattooed Graham Platner) it might cost them an election.
Now, a far-left, Democratic Socialist of America (DSA)-affiliated podcaster, one Emma Vigeland, has said the quiet part out loud: She'd support any candidate who spouted DSA talking points, even if they were really a Nazi or a fascist at heart.
Far-left podcaster Emma Vigeland raised eyebrows this month with her reaction to Maine oysterman Graham Platner’s political collapse.
Vigeland, a former Young Turks correspondent who now co-hosts The Majority Report With Sam Seder podcast, said on a separate Vox podcast that she doesn’t care if a progressive or socialist candidate has "Nazi" skeletons in their closet.
"I am wary of over-focusing on an individual's personal character over their platform. You know, I've said this before. I don't really care if say like Bernie Sanders or AOC go home and they're a secret Nazi, but they go out and they vote for the right things. Like we're talking about politicians…" the Democratic Socialists of America member said during the podcast, which published earlier in July.
Now that right there is some uncharacteristic (and unwitting) honesty from the far left.

And notice that she handwaves it away by proclaiming "they're politicians." Well, the socialist/commie left has always been great on pushing the miseries of socialism on everyone but the ruling class, and young skulls full of mush like Vigeland, always presume they'll be among that caste, and oddly, it never seems to work that way. Agitators, shouters and troublemakers are far too likely to cause problems in the regime after the revolution, after all. So - off to the gulags, if they're lucky.
Vigeland wasn't finished:
Vigeland added that that was an "extreme example" but that candidates and politicians are a representation of a party’s platform such as "taxing billionaires [and] bringing material differences to people’s lives."
"And that’s what I value more than anybody’s individual conduct because … how many horrible people are in Washington right now who are centrist or center-right."
Oh, so, mindless conformity, then.
Remember, Emma Vigeland is a mouthpiece for a movement that would drop our Constitution in a shredder. Their actual platform calls for abolishing the Supreme Court, abolishing the Presidency, and abolishing the Senate. They would throw the nation's borders to all comers, regardless of origin, background, or criminal records. The only part that makes that last piece any more tolerable is that, under the DSA, under communism, the former United States would rapidly decline to become no better than the doo-doo-holes these people are leaving.
They love to call Republicans, or anyone to the political right of Che Guevara, Nazis and/or fascists, and now here comes one of their own, proclaiming that they would make common cause with actual fascists if it would enable them to seize control.
We need to listen to these people when they say things like this. We need to take them seriously, no matter how ridiculous they sound. Because one thing is abundantly clear: They mean it. Every word.
