We live in interesting times. One of our major political parties is in the process of being consumed by the leftwing, which isn't just far Left, it's commie, loony-tunes Left. It's easy to feel a bit of a reprieve (and we should) now that one of the new Left's candidates, former Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, has given up and skulked off, leaving behind nothing but a lingering odor of hot dog water, Nazi tattoo ink, and failure. But he's just one of a growing and alarming number of far-Left loonies that are seeking, or who have already won, elected offices.
This year, we are reminded, is an election year. Every seat in the House of Representatives and one-third of the Senate is up for election. It's a mid-term year, so there is no election for president, but this mid-term will set the course for the remainder of President Trump's term, and that second term will set the tone for the 2028 elections. This is, in short, one of the most critical elections in recent history; possibly since 1860. We have to win this. Why? Here's why, and I'm going to tell you; just consider what the country will look like if we lose.
The commies have already told us what they intend to do should they gain the opportunity. We should believe them. Here are some highlights:
First, they will utterly destroy the founding principle of federalism and center all political power in Washington. They will eliminate the Senate. Right now, every state, regardless of size, regardless of population, has an equal voice in the Senate; Wyoming and California, Alaska and Rhode Island, all have two votes in the Senate. That's to ensure that the states, intended to be the primary governing bodies - that's why our nation is called the "United States" and not the "United State" of America - all have an equal say. They would also do away with the current electoral process for presidential elections, colloquially known as the Electoral College, ensuring that a few small, high-density population centers will henceforth decide most presidential elections. But that won't matter for long, as they intend to do away with the presidency as well.

Second, they will eliminate the Supreme Court. Forget stacking the Supreme Court; the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) want to do away with it altogether, replacing it with a new court, subordinate to the House of Representatives. Even supposedly "moderate" Democrats are talking about stacking the Supreme Court, adding several more judges in the mold of Ketanji Brown Jackson, making the Court a rubber-stamp for the Left. But the DSA wants to get rid of it as an institution. A Supreme Court subordinate to Congress, which in their world means the House of Representatives, would be no court at all.
Third, they will destroy the very integrity of our elections. As mentioned, the Electoral College will be no more. Smaller states will have no say in presidential elections, for as long as we still even have those. There will be no ID required to vote, no proof of citizenship required to register; in fact, the very concept of citizenship will be eliminated, as they will throw the borders open to all and sundry, allowing anyone to enter the country without objection and to enjoy all the benefits of residency with no regard for citizenship or legal residency.
The First Amendment will be gone. Speaking up for Republican principles will be deemed a "hate crime" or "misinformation." The Second Amendment will be gone. One way or another, they will do away with the right to keep and bear arms, maybe by executive fiat, maybe by pushing phony cases through a rubber-stamp court. But gone they will be. No more concealed-carry permits, no more Stand Your Ground laws, no more Castle Doctrine.

Democratic Socialist Radicals Push to Destroy Constitution for Socialist Republic
The United States of America, should these people come to power, will become unrecognizable in short order. That's what the DSA and similar groups, including many Democrat office-holders, want. They have said as much themselves.
Earlier this month, the Democratic Socialists of America’s top leadership met for an in-person meeting of their National Political Committee (NPC), the DSA’s governing authority. The result of the meeting was “Workers Deserve More!”, a rebooted platform for the organization featuring a host of radical proposals. The document commits DSA to scrapping the U.S. Senate, “abolishing the carceral forces of the capitalist state,” defunding the Department of War, amnesty for all immigrants, and “replac[ing] the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress.”
Now, some will point to groups like the DSA and say, "But Ward, these people are kooks. They're the fringe. They won't win. People have more sense than that." To that, I can only reply, "Are you willing to bet our nation on it?"
The next two elections are critical. We cannot afford to lose. The United States cannot afford to lose. We have to pull this out. The Senate needs to get off its rear end and pass the SAVE America Act, but we can't count on that. We are going to have to brute-force the 2026 midterms and, very likely, the 2028 elections. We are going to have to overwhelm the margin of cheating.
So, vote. Vote in the primaries, and for sure, vote in the general in November. Vote even if you're in a heavily Democratic jurisdiction. Take all your Republican friends and family to vote. (If they are Democrats, don't bother; let them find their own way.) Work with the system we have, not the system we want. If your state does mail-in ballots, make sure yours is filled out and place it, not in a mail box, but in the ballot drop boxes most such places have; it's at least a little more secure that way. If your state has early voting, get in early, get your vote banked.
Vote, if you have to take the morning off work. Vote, if you have to stand in line for an hour, or for a day. Vote, if you have to crawl on your hands and knees through a mile of broken glass to cast your ballot. Vote at all costs. Vote as if the future of our nation depends on it, because it does.
I'm convinced that the next two elections will determine the course of our country for the next two or three generations. Let's make sure our kids and our grandkids have an America to grow up in. Let's make sure that the grand experiment in liberty that is the United States of America lasts another 250 years. Let's get this done.
And here's one final piece of motivation: If we lose, there's nowhere else to go. We - America - are the last line of liberty.
