American consumers may walk away from their 2025 Thanksgiving dinners with a few extra bucks in their pockets. On Thursday, with Thanksgiving just three weeks away, the Trump administration released some encouraging data on the White House website, touting the claim that this year's typical Thanksgiving dinner will cost 3 percent less than last year.
President Donald J. Trump promised to crush inflation and lower prices — and he’s delivering this Thanksgiving, with the classic holiday feast about 3% cheaper than last year, according to a brand new report. Americans are seeing across-the-board price declines for the holiday staples, with dinner rolls down 22%, frozen vegetables down 15%, and items like turkeys, stuffing, gravy mix, fresh cranberries, and pumpkin pies all costing less.
It’s proof that under President Trump’s leadership, America is winning the war on high prices — even as Democrats grind the country to a halt with their deranged, reckless government shutdown.
Now, that shutdown, that's an issue. If this continues through the holiday, how many Americans won't make it to see their families? Senator Schumer (D-NY), I'm looking at you. Do your job! In a little over two weeks, Americans will start the holiday travel season, and if the airlines can't accommodate travelers because of the Schumer Shutdown, that should be hung around Democrats' necks like a dead albatross as we move into the midterm campaign season - so, now.
Back to the Thanksgiving prices, the White House lists some specifics:
- Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal costs 25% less than last year — with its lowest turkey price since 2019. The meal feeds ten people which works out to just under $4 per person.
- Lidl’s Thanksgiving meal costs $10 less than last year. The meal feeds ten people, which works out to just $3.60 per person.
- Aldi’s Thanksgiving meal costs $7 less than last year — its lowest price since 2019. The meal feeds ten people, which works out to $4 per person.
- Target’s Thanksgiving meal is at its lowest price ever. The meal feeds four people, which works out to less than $5 per person.
- Schnucks is selling frozen turkeys at the lowest price in over 15 years. The retailer is one of the largest privately held supermarket chains in the nation.
Democrats, of course, will try to spin this as some kind of failure, which prompts the reply, "Yeah, good luck with that."

With the midterms in the forefront of every political discussion right now, this is precisely the kind of data that the administration should be shouting from the rooftops. As someone once said, "It's the economy, stupid," and those elusive swing voters, the ones who so often determine the outcomes of elections in these back-and-forth districts, tend to vote their wallets. And, yes, these holiday dinners are a little cheaper. Gasoline is a little cheaper. Interest rates are coming down. It's all starting to work.
So, enjoy your upcoming Thanksgiving dinner - and enjoy walking away from it, stuffed with turkey, feeling that tryptophan-induced food coma coming on, and with a few extra coins jingling in your pocket.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
