Gird your loins, conservatives, for I come bearing distressing news: you haven't been very nice to Anthony Fauci, and Barbra Streisand is now very disappointed in you.
While you take a moment to compose yourselves over this unfortunate turn of events, let's take a look at what you've done.
According to Streisand, recent attempts by Republicans to have Dr. Fauci answer a few questions about his actions during COVID are nothing more than a "witch hunt." She shared her hurt feelings on that bitter Boomer enclave known as Bluesky, lamenting that conservatives simply don't understand that Fauci "was a voice of reason."

The delusional post appeared after the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted along party lines to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been subjected to a disgraceful witch hunt by Senate Republicans. Dr Fauci is an American hero. He was instrumental during the AIDS crisis to stop disinformation and pushed to discover the vaccine to allow AIDS patients to live with the virus.
Amid the horrors of the Covid pandemic which killed one million Americans, Dr Fauci was a voice of reason and helped speed the development of the vaccine to prevent hospitalization. The GOP is attempting to rewrite the history of the pandemic.
As you might've guessed, the responses to Streisand were equally delusional.
"I don’t quite understand why there are people who don’t follow the science," opined Bluesky user HowardIan328.
Darbrina chimed in with, "Rand(y) Paul is jealous of Fauci...plain and simple. Fauci is everything the Rand(y) isn't. Fauci is a decent, educated man who has multiple degrees, accolades and achievements, and has actually benefited mankind, unlike the pathetic Paul who has only done evil."
And Gato918 one-upped them all with this gem: "I've trusted Dr. Fauci since 1972, that's when I began my medical career. I will continue trusting him forever ..."

Streisand, of course, has never been shy about weighing in on Donald Trump. She spent his first term railing against him, even recording an entire anti-Trump album. During the 2024 campaign, she accused him of borrowing from the “fascist playbook” and declared that he should be “nowhere near the Presidency.”
So her sudden concern about nasty political “witch hunts” is endearing.
Even richer is Streisand's own rather questionable behavior during the COVID years. Her production company, Barwood Films, reportedly received roughly $200,000 in PPP loans in 2020 and 2021 – loans that were later forgiven. Among the people reportedly on Barwood's payroll was the groundskeeper at Streisand's sprawling Malibu estate, although her spokesman denied that PPP funds were actually used to pay him.
But sure, conservatives are the ones rewriting history.
Perhaps Streisand should stick to singing about memories instead of trying to rewrite ours. We know exactly what happened.
