'Who the F**k Do You Think You Were?' Moreno Goes Thermonuclear on Fauci and His 'Dirtbag' Lawyer

Once it became obvious that Anthony Fauci wasn't going to be answering any questions at his Wednesday hearing before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Republicans on the panel decided they'd go ahead and grill him anyway. And, since he was invoking the Fifth, he had to just sit there and take it.

Seeing him in an orange jumpsuit would be far preferable, of course, but for now we can enjoy watching him squirm.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a doctor himself who has clashed with Fauci many times in recent years, chaired the hearing and was the first to pepper Fauci with questions. Paul's questions centered on the full range of controversies that have dogged Fauci since the pandemic began, including whether his agency funded risky gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, what he knew about the possibility of a lab leak, and whether he helped steer scientists and the public toward the natural-origin theory despite having private doubts.

Fauci refused to address any of it.

Paul's shining moment of the day might have been when he kicked Fauci's attorney out of the hearing after the attorney attempted to hijack proceedings by sitting next to his client and trying to speak for him. It was a big "nope" from Sen. Paul.

When it came time for Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) to question Fauci, he showed no mercy, kicking things off by asking, “Who the f–k do you think you were for doing that?” "That," of course, being Fauci's draconian COVID lockdown mandates that saw Americans being arrested for things like not wearing masks in public.

Moreno was irate – and he had a litany of grievances against Fauci that he delivered with blistering precision.

“If, during the time of the COVID pandemic, you were called the racist for calling the virus a ‘Wuhan virus’ or the ‘China virus’; if you thought the six-foot rule was total crap; if you thought the vaccine wasn’t something that you should take; if you thought it was outrageous the way the mass policy was rolled out; if you were fired from your job for not taking that vaccine, including members of the military; if you thought closing schools was catastrophically stupid … saying these things made you somehow a lesser human being,” Moreno said.

It's a thing of beauty. Watch:

🔥Sen. Bernie Moreno goes SCORCHED EARTH on Anthony Fauci:

"Who the f*ck do you think you were for doing that!?"

"There is no defense of what you did. You may have had a 50+ year legacy of public service, but it ends in total and complete DISGRACE."

"I'm gonna give you the opportunity to answer ONE question: Will you apologize, just apologize, to the people who you harmed through your actions? Do you have the DIGNITY  to say just say you're sorry?"

"It's no secret why you have to hire the biggest dirtbag attorney on the planet [...] I hope you're paying him well."

The best we were ever going to get out of today's hearing was seeing Anthony Fauci squirm in the hot seat and seethe as the GOP made him look like a fool as he remained red faced and silent. Fauci may have escaped answering for the damage he caused, but Moreno and his fellow Republicans made darn sure he didn’t escape hearing the verdict.
