A Massive Red Flag Was Just Found on Fauci's COVID-Era iPhone

The legal noose seems to be tightening around Anthony Fauci's neck as Republicans push for answers about the disgraced doctor's actions during COVID.

First, there was the July congressional hearing where Fauci refused – possibly illegally – to answer any questions, which led the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Thursday to hold him in contempt of Congress. It's now up to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to determine if he'll face criminal charges.

And, now, there's his COVID-era iPhone, a copy of which landed in the hands of the Senate Homeland Security Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, which is chaired by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), a few days ago. The data from that phone has now been downloaded, and GOP investigators are combing through it to see what Fauci was up to and to whom he was talking.

Johnson appeared on the Friday night edition of NewsNation's Katie Pavlich Tonight to reveal that there are some incredibly odd things on the doctor's phone. Independent journalist Catherine Herridge, who attended the Fauci hearing, was sitting in for Katie; she had teased earlier in the night that Johnson had some important news to share.

While Johnson wasn't ready to get into the weeds about what they're finding, he did reveal that they have a good deal of information to work with, including over 34,000 texts and 533 voicemails.

"There's a lot of information on there. Over 34,000 texts, I think 522 voicemail messages... there's a lot to go through."

Johnson told Herridge that there was a treasure trove of information on the phone, which Fauci is believed to have used from 2014 up until a few days before he left the National Institutes of Health in December of 2022.

Getting the information out to the public is important, but Johnson warned it might take some time.

“This is not going to be a document dump,” he said. “I also need to preserve documents for our investigation. We are interviewing other people that he may be texting. And if you’re going to get truthful answers out of people, you can’t necessarily show them all your investigatory material, as well."

He continued, “So, again, I’m not going to hold this close to the vest when there are things that the public needs to see. I’m hoping to work very closely with Senator Rand Paul and his staff and release these things jointly."

The big reveal from Johnson, however, was this curious tidbit: the high-ranking Fauci only had three contacts stored in his phone.

“I can’t and my staff can’t guarantee that everything was preserved. What is odd is most of those text messages are associated with a phone number. He only had three contacts, which is pretty odd,” Johnson said.

Over the course of eight years, he only ever stored three numbers? This makes no sense at all, and points to data either being preemptively deleted from the phone or Fauci not storing contacts that could possibly get him into trouble.

Either way, the whole thing is incredibly suspicious and confirms that Republicans are justified in digging deeper in to the misdeeds of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
