More of This, Please: Viral Video Shows Hero Cop Absolutely Wrecking One 'Teen Takeover' Punk

Teen takeovers have become a scourge in cities across the nation, as rowdy crowds of young people gather in their cars, block the flow of traffic, and generally make menaces of themselves. Cops are often unable to do much about it due to the sheer numbers of cars that show up for these "meetups" that are organized through social media and group chats.

Society's high achievers are not typically involved in these events, and the kids that do show up don't seem particularly concerned that they might get caught and sent to the slammer.

A video of one trooper's response recently went viral because it showed what one cop with a car and a burning desire to stop these punks can do on his own. The clip is apparently a few years old, but it is a masterclass in how these menaces should be handled: with all the kindness and deference they've shown others (which is none).

The video shows what looks like your typical takeover scenario – cars blocking the streets, with the occupants outside of their vehicles causing mayhem, blocking a very busy intersection, and royally ticking off everyone else who's stuck in the mess. They're all standing around watching one particularly obnoxious participant doing a series of doughnuts in his black pickup truck – kicking up plumes of smoke smack dab in the middle of the intersection – when one cop car with its lights a-blazing appears out of nowhere.

As the truck tries to flee down the street, the cop (apparently a trooper from the Georgia State Police) executes a textbook PIT maneuver and violently brings the truck to a stop. The trooper's not done there. He exits his car, pulls his gun, jumps on the hood of his car – which is wedged nicely against the driver's side door of the truck – pulls the punk driver through his window, pins him to the hood of the police car, and cuffs him.

There's unfortunately no audio, but you can imagine that there were loud cheers from all those being held hostage in their cars by the takeover.

The whole thing, which happens in a matter of seconds, is incredibly satisfying to watch.

Now, that's how you deal with a street takeover.

Since this video was taken, things have only gotten worse, with kids in search of mayhem causing disruptions – mostly in blue cities (try that in a small town, as the song goes) – making headlines on a regular basis because they apparently have nothing better to do.

Our friends over at Twitchy described what's been happening this way:

We've heard a lot recently about "teen takeovers" and how little blue city mayors like those in Chicago and Washington, D.C., are doing about them. One D.C. councilwoman argued that curfews were "dangerous" because they increased the chance of these teens interacting with big bad law enforcement. That's the whole idea. Stay home, and the police will leave you alone.

If you make public examples of some of these morons, maybe the rest of them will learn it's not just harmless fun. Make them feel the same kind of the pain the rest of us are subjected to while watching them be degenerates.

This kid in this video not only needs to spend some time behind bars, he also needs pay for the damage to the cop car, and make some sort of restitution to the people having to sit in traffic while this genius got his kicks.
