Trump Reveals Anonymous Billionaire Has Stroked Huge Check to Pay Military During Schumer Shutdown

There's nothing that rankles the Democrat Party quite like when President Trump finds a way to get things done and move things forward without having to reach into the wallets of American taxpayers. The party of big government can't seem to wrap its mind around the fact that there are solutions to problems that don't involve the DC Swamp.

Take, for instance, the manic reactions to the renovation of the East Wing of the White House to transform it into a functional workspace and ballroom that will benefit future administrations for years to come. Chelsea Clinton is absolutely outraged (!) that her childhood home is getting a much-needed refurbish; didn't Trump realize that Democrats (think they) own everything in Washington, D.C.?

The People Helping Fund the New White House Ballroom Are a Who's Who List of Big Names

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY8) took things even further by seeming to threaten the private donors who are helping Trump finance the East Wing makeover. As RedState's Brandon Morse reported on Friday, those donors include the Adelson Family Foundation, the Lutnick family, the Winklevoss twins, and a range of powerhouse tech companies like Palantir, Microsoft, and Google.

Jeffries told MSNBC:

"And these people are going to be held accountable, no matter how long it takes," Jeffries said. "And that's a warning to all of these people participating in this scheming to manipulate taxpayer dollars and, of course, to destroy the People's House. The White House belongs to the American people. It doesn't belong to Donald Trump."

Not exactly a group of donors you want to alienate, but no one ever accused Jeffries of having keen political instincts.

Well, Democrats are really not going to like what President Trump revealed Thursday during a question and answer session at a meeting of the Homeland Security Task Force at the White House. An anonymous donor with very deep pockets has apparently stepped forward to make sure military members are paid during the Schumer Shutdown.

TRUMP: A friend of mine, talking about donors, a friend of mine - a man that's great, I'm not going to use his name unless he lets me do it - he called us the other day and said, "I'd like to contribute [to] any shortfall you have because of the Democrat shutdown. I'd like to personally contribute any shortfall you have with the military because I love the military and I love the country. And any shortfall, if there is any, I'll contribute to it."

Today, he sent us a check for $130 million.

When asked by a member of the media to name the donor, Trump responded, "I would love to tell you – he doesn't really want the recognition, if you want to know the truth." And how will that $130 million be used? "It's going to go to the military," said the president.

This magnanimous act is really going to blow the minds of Democrats everywhere. They think the DC bureaucratic state is the answer to everything, not to mention the fact that they've happily spent the last few weeks holding the government hostage and using unpaid troops for political leverage. The teeth will undoubtedly be gnashing on Capitol Hill because President Trump has found a way to take care of the military without caving to the left's demands.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
