As RedState previously reported, Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) learned Monday that she was being charged with two counts of felony assault after the disturbing incident on May 9th, where the newly minted House MS-13 Caucus member was seen putting her hands on federal agents as Democrats tried to storm an ICE detention center in Newark.
The criminal complaint alleges that witness testimony, photo, and video evidence demonstrate McIver's "multiple attempts to forcibly assault, resist, oppose, impede, intimidate, and interfere with the agents attempting to take [Newark Mayor Ras Baraka] into custody."
Democrats, of course, are pitching fits, with McIver herself proclaiming in a statement that "the charges against me are purely political - they mischaracterize and distort my actions, and are meant to criminalize and deter legislative oversight."

Before the charges were announced by acting U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey Alina Habba, Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tried to gaslight the American people by stating that the three Democrat House members from New Jersey (the other two were Reps. Robert Menendez Jr and Bonnie Watson) were merely "peacefully protesting" at the facility.
It was a troubling statement to make, considering it was the second time in a month that Schumer had refused to condemn violence at leftist-orchestrated "protests," with the other time being when he was asked about domestic terrorism at Tesla dealerships.
"I can't talk about Tesla, but Elon Musk is a disaster for America, and America knows it," Schumer stated at the time before insulating himself in an elevator. "Look at Wisconsin.”
And now, after the charges against McIver were revealed, here's what Schumer's saying:
Schumer on McIver charges: I think what they're doing is outrageous. And I think that, you know, this is typical of the Justice Department trying to intimidate anybody who might oppose them, whether they be an elected official, a judge or anybody else.

Hmm. Well, if Schumer wants to prattle on about attempts at intimidating judges, he might want to look in a mirror to see someone who has actually done that. Flashback to March 2020, when Schumer infamously threatened conservative Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch during a pro-abortion rally:
“You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!” Schumer declared during a pro-abortion rally that was held outside of the Supreme Court as arguments were being made in front of SCOTUS Justices on a Louisiana abortion law case.
A little over two years later, an unhinged Democrat attempted to assassinate Kavanaugh ahead of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Court documents alleged that the leftist, Nicholas Roske, originally intended to target three conservative Supreme Court Justices in hopes it would change the balance once new ones were nominated and confirmed.
So, which sounds more like intimidation? Charges brought against a Congresswoman for actions caught on video or warning Supreme Court Justices whose political views you disagree with that "you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions!"?
