AP 'Journalist' Gets Zapped With Reality Check After Claim Made During WHCA 'Nerd Prom'

On Saturday, the comedian-less and president-less White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) Dinner was held at the Washington Hilton hotel where, as per the norm, self-serving journalists tripped over themselves to praise the industry and to essentially promise more of what landed them in hot water with readers and viewers in the first place.

As we reported, there was gaslighting galore during the annual event, which has been nicknamed the "Nerd Prom," with woke WHCA president Eugene Daniels leading the way with his remarks about who he says the media are and what they're supposed to do.

"We care deeply about accuracy and take seriously the heavy responsibility of being stewards of the public’s trust. What we are not is the opposition," Daniels, who now has a weekend gig at MSDNC, proclaimed. "What we are not is the enemy of the people. And what we are not is the enemy of the state."

Also joining in on the insulting of our intelligence was Associated Press White House correspondent Zeke Miller, who gave a hall of shame speech where he talked about what he claimed were the AP's journalistic commitments.

"From the White House to the town of Whitehouse, Texas - it's a real place - Peoria to the Persian Gulf, we at AP remain committed as ever to accurate, independent, nonpartisan journalism, to carrying light the world over," Miller stated.

Watch:

The receipts, of course, say otherwise:

As we've also previously documented, the Trump White House has done a good job laying out why they - and many Americans - don't trust the Associated Press, reasons they've given to justify their continued dispute with the outlet over access to the Oval Office.

"This is about AP weaponizing language through their stylebook to push a partisan worldview in contrast with the traditional and deeply held beliefs of many Americans and many people around the world," White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich said in a February interview with Axios.

Further, there was also this:

That sure doesn't sound like "accurate, independent, nonpartisan journalism." It also doesn't sound like "carrying light." More like "carrying water" -- for Democrats and their pet causes. But that's just me.
