Democrats have become infamous over the years for their cringe "common man" photo and video moments where they try to appeal to average folks by attempting to make it appear that they're no different from them.
In recent history, we've perhaps seen it most often by way of their BBQ/"grillin'" posts on social media, where off-the-Walmart-rack button-down American flag shirts, cheap beers, pristine aprons, and even propaneless grills have been spotted and their faux pas appropriately called out.
We’ve seen numerous cases in American political history of this trick backfiring on candidates for public office, including failed 2020 North Carolina Democrat Senate nominee Cal Cunningham’s infamous “brioche buns” grillin’ out photo that was posted on Twitter/X a week before his affair scandal broke. Another instance was when New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) plastered her own awkward “BBQ” moment on Twitter for all the world to see.

The latest Democrat entrant into the "Everyman" competition is Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers, who posted the following video on social media around 10:30 Wednesday night, potentially paving the way for some unfortunate nightmares for those who may have been headed off to bed for the evening.
Warning: This video may trigger genuine football fans:
Less than 24 hours away from the 2025 NFL Draft kickoff in Titletown!

For those unaware, this is what Evers is talking about:
Nine years in the making, the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay opens at noon April 24. It is the first time the draft will be held in Green Bay, the smallest market in the National Football League.
Projected attendance for the draft is 250,000 over three days. NFL fans from across the country are expected to attend, and fans representing all 32 teams will be in attendance in front of the draft stage, where they can be easily seen on the television broadcasts. While the draft is set up to entertain tens of thousands of attendees, it is equally a broadcast production, which is expected to draw tens of millions of viewers.
Back to Evers, the Trump team responded accordingly with a clip that was far less cringeworthy, and, in fact, was downright impressive:

Others weren't too impressed with Evers' football "skills," either:

Minimal ball rotation. Drops the elbow and shorts the release. Poor hip rotation limiting torque. Keeps weight on back foot. Won’t answer questions on character or education scores.
