Hot Takes: Furious Jewish New Yorkers Hammer Mamdani’s Tisha B’Av Post After Netanyahu Rant

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani just can’t help himself. Or maybe it's the 19-year-old interns who run his social media accounts. But the shine is starting to rub off on this grinning dolt as he airs his fever dreams of anti-Semitic, terrorist-adjacent grievances against Israel for the world to see.

Hours after delivering another blistering but ultimately ignorant attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu—calling him a war criminal, recycling his usual anti-Israel talking points, and ultimately admitting he has no authority to arrest his nemesis—Mamdani (D) apparently tried to take the focus off his personal embarrassment by posting a bland, boilerplate message wishing Jewish New Yorkers a peaceful Tisha B’Av.

Tisha B’Av marks the saddest day on the Jewish calendar—a full fast where people mourn the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem and other tragedies that have hit the Jewish people throughout history.

"Wishing a peaceful Tisha B’Av to Jewish New Yorkers across the five boroughs," Mamdani said, just hours removed from giving a mean-mugging speech about his efforts to arrest Netanyahu. "May all observing have a safe and meaningful fast."

The response was swift and brutal, offering a clear sense that many in the community aren’t buying the sudden olive branch from a mayor who’s spent years sharing common cause with Hamas.

Many of those replies follow the lead of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who kicked off the barrage with, "This f***ing guy."

Which was very likely a common phrase uttered by people immediately after reading Mamdani's post. In fact, defaulting to the f-bombs was so common, that trying to wade through those to get some slightly more SFW responses wasn't easy.

"You should understand how insulting this is at some level. Tisha B’Av is a day of mourning for the destruction of ancient Jerusalem and also for every other tragedy in Jewish history," wrote California Post Opinion Editor Joel Pollak. "Mamdani is a contemporary incarnation of that evil. This is like wishing Americans a happy 9/11."

There were other similes as well.

"You’ve got to be kidding me, right? This is like Satan wishing you a Happy Easter," another non-fan replied.

And the responses just kept coming, several of which came from some prominent Jewish voices ...

And on that last note, he certainly did. As RedState's Nick Arama reported, the mayor of the city that never sleeps referred to Netanyahu as a "war criminal" and the "architect of a horrific genocide" in a video he posted to the same social media account.

It's worth watching this video again with the context that one of Mamdani's top aides tried to get a meeting with Iranian officials at the same time her boss was threatening to arrest the Israeli PM. Let me reiterate—His office was trying to collaborate with an enemy of the United States, whom we are currently at war with, with the backdrop of potentially cuffing one of their enemies.

There's a word for that.

Also worth noting that the video marks one of the first times that this Charlatan dropped the goofy smile and peeled back the curtain on the terror-supporting anti-Semite he is.

Mamdani would ultimately admit he had no authority to arrest Netanyahu, despite it being a part of his wildest fantasies. It's unclear if he knew that and said it to get support from the extremists in his city, or if he actually thought he could pull it off.

Either way, he is a threat to the city, either through his sociopathic masquerade or his blind ignorance of facts and reality.

The prime minister's office issued a statement suggesting Mamdani should "focus on fixing the damage his policies have caused New York."

But why would he do that? Damaging the city is the intent.
