President Trump on Monday delivered a decisive verbal smackdown to New York City’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani, shutting down any notion of detaining Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on American soil.

The president squashed Mamdani’s persistent fantasy of using the NYPD to cuff the Israeli leader over a non-binding ICC (International Criminal Court) warrant that the United States doesn’t even recognize.

"Benjamin Netanyahu will not be arrested, in any way, shape, or form, while in the United States of America," Trump wrote on his Truth Social media platform.

"He is fighting against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which recently killed 52,000 innocent protestors, and has spent the last 47 years killing American Soldiers, and others," he added. "The only ones that should be arrested are the people that led Iran into this unprecedented SPIRAL OF DEATH AND DESTRUCTION."

Fetterman Calls Mamdani a "Clown" Over His Netanyahu Arrest Threat, and He's Not Wrong

Trump's comments are a direct response to Mamdani doubling down on his campaign pledge to arrest Netanyahu if he visits the city for the UN General Assembly in September.

Mamdani, in an interview with The New York Times, claimed his legal team is actively discussing whether the city has authority to act on the ICC warrant, while accusing the US ally of being a "war criminal."

Narrator: They don't have the authority.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in the Hague,” he told the outlet. "He’s a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court. And what you will find is that is an opinion that is held by many, purely because of what his actions have wrought over these last many years.”

President Trump isn't the only one to have pulverized this vapidly grinning Communist's personal dreams. Mamdani was widely mocked and ridiculed, even by some figures on the left, for suggesting he had any jurisdiction on the matter.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) quickly identified the New York City mayor accurately as a "clown," while pointing out that the threat is essentially toothless.

"[He's] such a tough guy to say that kind of thing. He has no way to do that," Fetterman said in an interview on "Sunday Morning Futures."

"He's just a clown to even say that, so he won't try that. Just sit down and focus on other... problems that they have in New York," Fetterman continued. "That's really not your purview. You and I know that. Sit down."

U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz was also quick to rain on Mamdani's parade, outlining the exact reasons why his threat has no legal merit whatsoever.

Waltz called the bloviating "pure political theater."

Embedded tweet continues:

... head-of-state immunity applies, &

4. federal authority trumps any local mayor’s wishes.

This is pure political theater.

Mamdani can spout off his anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas, terrorist-adjacent comments all he likes, but the goofy smile doesn't hide the absolute lack of basic knowledge from which his BS is derived.

Editor’s Note: New York City is now facing the consequences of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s socialist takeover.
