Mamdani Steps in It Again With New Netanyahu Remarks at Presser, Gets Offer From Rashida Tlaib

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) kicked up a storm with his remarks about wanting to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he came to New York.

After getting decimated by President Donald Trump, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (U.N.) Mike Waltz, and even CNN legal analyst Elie Honig, Mamdani was finally forced to humiliatingly admit he didn't have the power to do any such thing. He had previously promised his base that he would do it.

Yet Mamdani continued to dig that hole deeper by taking questions from the press, trying to justify his argument that Netanyahu should be arrested by the federal government.

One reporter nailed him for hypocrisy. She brought up how he had been opposed to the U.S. warrant to arrest Nicholas Maduro, and yet, he's all in to enforce the International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant against Netanyahu. Listen as he scrambles in a vain attempt to reconcile those positions.

Mamdani argues that Maduro's capture violated international law, ignoring/dismissing the U.S. warrant. He said he thought the U.S. should "execute the warrants" that the ICC issues - in other words, do their bidding. Translation? ICC warrant cool, U.S. warrant not enough for him. The U.S. is not a party to the ICC, and Mamdani is required to uphold U.S. law.

Another reporter got him on another point that went even more to the hypocrisy of the Left's talking points on Israel: did Mamdani view the Hamas attack against Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, as "genocide"

I asked Mamdani twice whether he also considers the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks a genocide.

So let's review.

Hamas' goal: to wipe out Israel, and they have deliberately targeted civilians.

Israeli actions in Gaza: war in response to an attack, not deliberately targeting civilians, warning people about attacks on Hamas.

Which one looks more like the true definition of genocide? Hint: it isn't the second one.

Mamdani also called for protests if Netanyahu comes to New York. And we know how peaceful the Left is. Not.

I'm confused here. If the radical Left has a problem with prisons, where would they put Netanyahu? They never think of how their ideas all clash with each other.

Mamdani did get one positive reaction to his position: from Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12). She spewed some folly about "citizen's arrest," and then said, "If he needs help, tell him to call me."

She doesn't seem to understand federal law any more than Mamdani does.
