Former Attorney General Pam Bondi has been quietly battling thyroid cancer in the weeks since leaving her top post at the Justice Department.

Katie Miller highlighted Bondi’s private fight Tuesday night, praising the Florida powerhouse for “kicking cancer’s ass” with the same grit and determination she’s always shown in the fight for America First values.

"[Pam] has a heart of gold," she wrote on X.

Miller shared a screenshot of an Axios report that quietly tucked away the revelation in a story about President Trump tapping Bondi for a key role on the White House AI advisory panel.

Axios notes that the former AG "underwent treatment and is recovering."

Trump’s decision to tap Bondi for the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) puts a trusted ally right at the center of the administration’s pivotal AI policy efforts.

Bondi, in this new role, will reportedly help coordinate between the White House and top tech executives on the panel — including figures like Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Oracle’s Larry Ellison.

The President has touted the panel as an effort to ensure America’s AI strategy prioritizes national security, innovation, and dominance over Communist China rather than Big Tech’s progressive agenda.

“We’re leading China, we’re leading everybody, and I don’t want to do anything that’s going to get in the way of that lead,” Trump told reporters last week.

Bondi, according to Vice President JD Vance, is the perfect choice to help keep America on top of the AI game.

"Pam has been an enormously valuable asset to the president's team, and I'm thrilled for her and for all of us that she's going to remain involved in confronting some of the most important issues the administration faces," he said in a statement to Axios.

After serving just 14 months as Attorney General, Bondi was relieved of her duties at the Justice Department in early April, with President Trump announcing that she would transition to a new role in the private sector.

"Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900," Trump said at the time, adding, "We love Pam."

Whatever questions surrounded the end of her tenure at the DOJ, Bondi staring down a serious health diagnosis while quickly returning to the administration to help shape America’s AI future proves she's a fighter.
