Attorney General Pam Bondi warned Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) after the congresswoman issued a message to supporters wishing Tesla CEO Elon Musk would be "taken down."
Bondi spoke with Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures" about charges against three individuals suspected of using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations.
The AG then pivoted to Crockett's seeming dog whistle calls to violence.
"She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country," Bondi asserted.

Crockett raised eyebrows in a video to the “Tesla Takedown” movement urging the self-described “peaceful protest movement” to move on Elon Musk as an early birthday present.
“On March 29, it’s my birthday,” the giddy congresswoman said. “All I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”
She added that "there is only one language that the people in charge understand right now, and that language is money."

Crockett swiftly ran to MSNBC's Alex Witt to "set the record straight," dismissing Bondi's threat with a defense suggesting she wasn't being literal when she told rabid followers to take down Musk. It was the Tesla stock she was referencing.
"I wasn't calling for violence," she said. "It's ridiculous that I even have to say something like that. But because they are trying to twist our words, one of the things that I told people to do is make sure you are adhering to the laws in your area."
In her usual dismissive attitude, Crockett reiterated her explanation for the "slow people listening," which was a reference to Bondi but likely more appropriate to anyone watching MSNBC.
"I just want to say that I have never promoted violence whatsoever," she claimed without evidence.
Her track record, however, betrays the slow congresswoman, as Crockett has repeatedly made incendiary remarks that could be construed as a call to violence against Trump administration officials.
The AOC wannabe last month warned Republicans that the resistance party is "gonna be in your face" and "on your a**es!"
In a recent episode of "Lone Star Politics," which also aired Sunday, Crockett explicitly called for Democrat voters to step up their game regarding protests. They can only go so far from what they've already been doing, which includes arson, vandalism, and accosting Tesla owners.
The Texas lawmaker said it is a mistake to be “nice, friendly, and kind” and told followers to stop looking for the nice way to approach things and instead "get comfortable with letting our hair down a little bit."
“We need to show that we have always been the party that will fight for what’s right for all people."
Crockett then, in the same vein as the "slow" comments above, blasted working-class voters as being ignorant of Democrat policies and for moving to "the dark side."

Congressman Andy Biggs (R-AZ) sent a letter to Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel on Friday urging him to investigate the numerous recent instances of domestic terrorist violence against Tesla dealerships.
But also requested a deeper look at the "incitement" of such violence, noting that Democrats like Crockett "have encouraged this violence."
Bondi has concurred with the pursuit of these violent thugs, saying the violence will "come to a stop."
“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” she said in a statement following the arrests of the aforementioned alleged Tesla arsonists. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
When will Speaker Mike Johnson hold House Democrats accountable for their incendiary comments? In 2021, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) was censured and removed from committee assignments for sharing a parody anime video that Democrats claimed depicted violence against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Crockett's comments easily exceed Gosar's transgression. Oh, and she also just shared a video of herself and AOC in stick-figure cartoon form physically beating Republicans.
If Gosar's cartoon was a threat, so is this.

Bondi might not have an avenue to hold Jasmine accountable, but Johnson and Republicans in the House certainly do.
