There is no pleasing the radical Left, as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani found out on Wednesday.
Although he's spent years involved in radical activism and even helped to found a Students for Justice in Palestine group at his college, he was hoisted with his own petard during an Oct. 7 vigil by radical anti-Israel protesters on Wednesday in Union Square. The radicals harassed Americans trying to memorialize people (including Americans) murdered in a massacre. That's what horrible human beings they are, and Mamdani lay down in bed with such people for years. Watch how unhinged this was.

So it was quite something to see them subjecting him to all the same abuse they throw at other people, even claiming he supported "genocide," and chanting the tired "how many kids have you killed today" chant at him. He was eaten by the monster he helped to create, as some observed.
As I noted in my earlier report, even Hasan Piker weighed in, saying that Mamdani needed to do more of what they, the radicals, wanted.
But what really topped it off was this clueless statement from former Biden senior advisor Neera Tanden.
You reap what you sow.
— Neera Tanden🌻 (@neeratanden) October 8, 2026
"You reap what you sow," she declared about Mamdani. When Piker says there that Mamdani was "SJP," he's referring to "Students for Justice for Palestine." As noted, he helped found a chapter when he was in college.
That's certainly true. But it's also amazingly clueless.
Because the Democrats are "reaping what they've sown" with their embrace of the radical left and elements like these protesters to try to win back power. All of the Democrats who kept talking about the "big tent" — they own all the backlash they are getting for embracing the radicals. This is what has come storming into their big tent when they opened up the flap. It's all on them. They've made everything worse because of their thirst for power.
Now, I have to say that Tanden is one of the few Democrats who have expressed some concerns about the radicals. But she has also said she would be willing to support Democrat Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. So much for that.
Michael La Rosa, a former adviser to Jill Biden, had this to say to Tanden.
Warning for graphic language:
Precisely why supporting El-Sayed is short-sighted and comes at a steep cost to our party. I don’t know about you, but I sure as shit don’t want Hasan Piker having an all-access pass to the Senate office buildings. When Piker starts streaming LIVE from Dirksen or the Russell Rotunda and leading the effort with El-Sayed to vote against Schumer for leader, shut down the government, and recruit primary challengers against Maggie Hassan, Catherine Cortez Masto, Michael Bennet, Mark Kelly, and replicate Michigan 26 primary against other mainstream Democratic recruits and incumbents in 2028, this Democrat can say: I had no part in sowing what the party will be reaping.

That resonates because you can conceive of all of that happening.
They think they are getting more people, and thus more votes. But those people are eating them whole, and they will never be satisfied until they have complete control. And that would be bad for us all.
Meanwhile, Republicans are going to be pointing at all this, like Sophie Cunningham, saying it's crazy, and America doesn't want any of it.
