This Campaign Ad From El-Sayed Might Be the Cringiest of All Time

The Democrats' candidate for the Senate seat in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed, has some issues.

There are the far-left positions that have even caused other Democrats to run away from supporting him, opting to support his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers, instead. There's his connection to the extremist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker.

There's the fact that despite attacks against the billionaires, he admits he wants to tax people more, not just the billionaires, but those making less than a million dollars.

There are the problems he seems to have with things dear to Michigan, like Mackinac Island and football. He went off on football involving "toxic masculinity," and then he weirdly tried to goad Rogers into a tackle football exchange, apparently wanting to get physical with him.

Sounds like he didn't like Rogers nailing him with some good points. Also sounds like he's expressing a little "toxic masculinity" there.

But if you thought that take was weird, hold on, because it's El-Sayed. There can always be more. He can get weirder.

Here's what El-Sayed actually posted in June, presumably to encourage people to get out to vote for the primary. It's been blowing up on X again over the past day. I give you fair warning: it is a cringe-a-rama. I posted his Instagram to assure you that, yes, he did in fact post this; I'm not making it up, and it's not fake AI. It's a take-off on the show Blue's Clues.

"It makes me wanna wag my tail. When it comes, I wanna wail. Mail!!" El-Sayed sings in the clip. He even sort of dances in the chair. Alrighty, now.

Then he pretends to get mail in the mailbox, pulls out a ballot, and instructs people how to get their ballots back in on time for the primary.

Does he think voters are children and need such instruction?

Does he think that's cute? Is he hoping it makes him look less like an extremist? Is he hoping that reads like nostalgia for people who used to watch Blue's Clues, as opposed to just looking weird? No, dude, it's just weird and forced. And Democrats tried to falsely pitch Vice President JD Vance as weird. What voters would this possibly help to bring in?

When we talk about the radical leftist Democrats being "theater kids," they keep doing all they can to prove we're right about that. But while El-Sayed is putting together goofy videos and alienating other Democrats, Rogers is reaching out to them and talking about the issues.

This might explain why El-Sayed is having trouble with the working class and the black vote. They want to see reality, not weirdness or extremism.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
