King Charles Accidentally Exposes Some Rampant Dem Hypocrisy

The United Kingdom's King Charles III was visiting the White House on Tuesday for a state visit.

The King even addressed a joint session of Congress, as my colleague Ben Smith reported, speaking about the importance of the alliance between the United States and the United Kingdom, and how it must be preserved.

King Charles Champions US-UK Alliance in Rousing Address to Congress

But there was something incredibly ironic about how he was received by the Democrats in Congress. The folks who have loudly proclaimed "No Kings" were all on their feet, clapping for him throughout his speech, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi (CA-11), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Check how Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) not only claps, but she even bows. How wild is this?

They couldn't clap for Angel Moms or a 13-year-old with cancer, courageous Americans, but they're all clapping for a foreign king.

So why are they clapping for a king? Could it be because he touts their liberal agenda regarding things like climate change and Ukraine? So they don't mean "no kings," really. What they really mean is "no one who disagrees with us." They appear perfectly cool with a globalist king like Charles. It's all just about theater and promoting their own agenda; there are no principles or consistency.

Let's also point out that they also seemed to be cool with the incredibly authoritarian moves like making Kamala Harris, the nominee after Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, even though she didn't have any primary votes for the top spot. How is that protecting democracy or listening to the will of the people? I also didn't see a lot of objections when Joe Biden was declaring the Equal Rights Amendment "law" on his own delusional say so.

That wasn't true at all; it was completely divorced from reality, let alone not at all constitutional. But that's just a couple of authoritarian moves by the Democrats in recent history, off the top of my head, while they're spewing claptrap about "No Kings."

Now, of course, the whole idea of "No Kings" was stupid to begin with. We don't have kings, and we've never had kings. As Trump has pointed out, he's the farthest thing from a king, as he has to go through Congress, and Democrats are always suing him, trying to stop any actions he might take. As he said in a comment to Norah O'Donnell during his "60 Minutes" interview, if he were a king, he wouldn't be dealing with her, which was quite an honest and funny comment.

The White House also had a little fun mocking the ridiculous "No Kings" take with a post of Charles and Trump captioned "Two Kings." That immediately had some on the left melting down.

But the effort against Trump has never really been about Trump being a king. It's always been about him standing in the way of their power. What the Democrats really have been trying to do is cut off the power of the duly elected president because they don't want his agenda to succeed.
