As we reported, King Charles is visiting the United States.
He spoke to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.
He also met with President Donald Trump, as Trump gave a speech on how "In recent years, we've often heard it said that America is merely an idea," but that it was much more than that; that "the cause of freedom did not simply appear as an intellectual invention of 1776," and that the American founding was based on struggle, sweat, blood, and sacrifice to have the freedom we enjoy today.

I think this was likely a retort to one of Joe Biden's classic lines in virtually all his speeches. He kept repeating the same speech, just slightly reworked for each occasion, so it would be easier for him.
America was an idea. We've never lived up to it but we've never walked away from it before.https://t.co/VRCnKI0rfQ pic.twitter.com/xLuhhGyJVp

No, Joe. We changed the world with our Constitution, the rule of law, and the protection of the rights of the individual. This concept that we are somehow always deficient is a constant plaint of the Democrats. It's never recognizing the great achievements of this nation and how it has been a beacon to the world.
Biden was apologizing for America and projecting weakness for four years. People didn't think we had a king with Biden; they thought we had a patsy — someone who could easily be rolled over. Now, Trump has turned that on its head with his strength, with someone who has both the energy and the desire to fight for America.
Trump is also not afraid of trolling Democrats in the process, to show how silly their Trump Derangement Syndrome is. The White House did a little of that during the visit with Charles, and it had folks on the left losing it big time. They mocked the Democrats' "No Kings" protest with this post.

Hahaha! The trolling is strong here. https://t.co/bxc1av8Nuw

You know liberals are losing it big time.
Trigger Alert! The White House has waited months to make this joke. Coast to coast, humorless liberals are seething, veins bulging. https://t.co/Fy5nUbOXSI

Here's a sample, from Democratic Rep. Raja Kishnamoorthi (IL-08).

Now, of course, as we reported about his recent "60 Minutes" interview, Trump knows he's not a king.
“I don’t feel like a king; I have to go through hell to get stuff approved,” Trump said during remarks on the topic last June.
“A king would say, ‘I’m not going to get this.’ A king would have never had the California mandate to even be talking, he wouldn’t have to call up [Speaker] Mike Johnson and [Senate Majority Leader John] Thune and say, ‘Fellas you got to pull this off’ and after years we get it done,” he added

But he is going to mock them by trolling them, to highlight their absurdity.
