We're in the middle of a serious battle with Iran.
While I think it's perfectly reasonable to have legitimate concerns about how it might all turn out or whether actions should be taken or not, that's not all we're seeing from the Democrats and a lot of the liberal media. What we're seeing is dangerous and concerning when their Trump Derangement Syndrome/desire to fight Trump trumps what should be their priority — the best interests of the American people.
There are many examples, but let's start with the fight over funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Even under normal circumstances, it would be concerning if the Democrats blocked funding for such a vital department. But at a time when we've had multiple terrorist attacks and threats from Iran, they're still refusing. They're placing their political agenda regarding illegal aliens above their duty to defend the American people.

Michael Goodwin of the NY Post pointed out this exchange with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Senate Minority Leader. It is a window into how twisted the Democrats' approach has become. The question comes, surprisingly, courtesy of Joe Scarborough. He asks Schumer a very simple question, "Is it a good thing that Iran—and I think you would agree with me—epicenter of terrorism in the world since 1979, is it good that their military infrastructure is being degraded to the degree that it is, yes or no?” Schumer's inability to just say "yes" straight out that it's good that the terrorists' capability is degraded is concerning.
WOW: Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough continuously pressed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: “No, no, no. Hold on a second. You’ve got to answer my question first. Yeah. Schumer doesn't want to appear to be saying anything good about the military effort because it's connected to President Donald Trump.
“Again, I have to tell you, Joe, first, you can’t. What’s going to happen three months from now? Is it worth it? What’s going to happen? Will the world economy collapse? Will something happen even worse? Will the whole energy infrastructure of the world go up in smoke?”
Even with the military success, he attacks the effort, claiming it's done "without planning," and he refuses to acknowledge the military success. Scarborough wasn't even asking him about the results; he was just asking him if it was good to reduce the terrorist threat.
Scarborough has to scold Schumer to bring him back to reality: "It’s good that the terrorist regime’s military and capabilities have been degraded radically.” He says Democrats need to be clear about it — because obviously they haven't been — "Iran has killed Americans since 1979."
Schumer had to be browbeaten even to get a yes. It's good that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is gone. Schumer is so afraid of the left and of being primaried that he can't clearly acknowledge basic facts. That's dangerous, given the critical position he holds.
President Donald Trump announced discussions were going on with Iran. But then you had reactions like this one from the execrable former Obama CIA head, John Brennan, who said he believed Iran over Trump.

He believes Iran more than Trump, and he was the head of the CIA? Is it any wonder the Obama team was so bad when it came to Iran?
Then there's the media, which has been a constant bleat of "We're losing," despite all the facts. They're doing all they can to poison the mind of the American people, rather than simply reporting facts.
But some went even further over the edge. Check this incredible title from Foreign Policy.

The article was worse than the headline, if that's possible. A clear win would be bad because it would not be a check on Trump, whereas if we lost, maybe that would rein Trump in.
How do you get that unhinged? And even winning is not "winning."
But at this point, the Democrats and many in the media are fully off the rails.
