Dems Reveal Who They Really Care About in DHS Fight - This Should Run on a Loop for the Midterm

Democrats have been blocking the full funding of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for well over a month now.

They want to place restrictions on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). They're willing to endanger the entire country in the process, not funding all of the DHS agencies that help to protect the homeland.

Their actions have also led to hours-long lines at airports for Americans when hundreds of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents quit or called in sick because they weren't being paid. But that still hasn't moved the Democrats to fully fund the DHS. All they care about, seemingly, is their political agenda to protect illegal aliens.

But if you didn't believe that, the Democrats' reaction to the news that President Donald Trump was going to be deploying ICE to the airports to help TSA and relieve the lines showed exactly what their true focus is — and it isn't the best interests of the American people.

According to journalist Rachel Bade, Democratic lawmakers and staffers she spoke to think that the optics of that only help them.

Why? Because they thought it would result in situations where "armed agents at airports will crush tourism and freak people out." A senior democratic official said, "Great, do it! Let's fu** around and find out." A third jabbed, "Can they show up in masks?"

But wait, I thought that ICE agents were evil Nazi thugs, according to Democrats? Didn't Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) just say that they were going to brutalize people, shoot them, and kill them at the airport? The Senate Democrats X account retweeted him on that point.

So why would they want that, if they truly believed ICE were thugs?

Because they don't believe that, and/or they only care about what helps their optics, regardless of whether or not the American people are hurt. If they truly thought ICE agents were going to hurt people, they wouldn't respond that way to Bade.

As Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) revealed in a Feb 2024 interview on MSNBC with Chris Hayes, when he said the quiet part out loud, "the people [they] care about most" are illegal aliens. Or as he perversely put it, "undocumented Americans," a term which is itself oxymoronic.

Why is one of their primary asks in the DHS battle that ICE not be present at polling places, if illegal aliens aren't voting?

The Republicans need to run this on a loop as an ad during the midterms, to anyone who doesn't already know what the Democrats are all about.

But the funny thing is, as with most positions the Democrats take against Trump, Trump's move seems to be working, as we reported. The lines at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta had dropped markedly to under 30 minutes, and it was CNN admitting it. There may also be another side benefit, that the American people get to see ICE agents as they should be viewed — in a positive light, helping the American people by what they are doing.

Frankly speaking, it might not help Republicans politically if the American people are less mad at the Democrats for the chaos they caused, if the chaos goes away.

But that only underscores the difference: Trump is trying to solve the chaos the Democrats caused in order to help the American people. That's who he's putting first here — unlike the Democrats.
