There have been many dumb Democratic narratives over the years.
The belief that they can spin their way out of accepting blame for the government shutdown by avoiding the fact that it takes 60 votes to open it, and they are the ones voting against it, has to be right up there as one of the dumbest.
It's not a complicated concept for most Americans to understand, and they get who's at fault here. But Democrats keep pretending that they can't count to 60.

Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) nailed that concept during an exchange with Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV)."You get a paycheck," he said.
🚨Sen. Bernie Moreno CALLS OUT Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen over the shutdown: "What do you say to your staff?"

ROSEN: "People are starving... you are blind to the suffering of your people!"
MORENO: "Does it take 60 votes?"

Rosen claimed that she was donating her paycheck.
"What do you say to your staff? What do you say to the TSA workers? What do you say to the air traffic controllers?" Moreno said.
Rosen then pulled out the Democratic narrative. She insisted it was a "Republican shutdown."
You are in control of the White House, the House, and the Senate. And if you went home to a food bank instead of going to Mar-a-Lago for a gold-plated dinner while people are starving, you might see and hear your constituents. You are blind to the suffering of your people.
But he kept asking her the basic question, "Does it take 60 votes?"
But she didn't want to answer the question. "It takes you listening and coming to the table."
"So it takes 60 votes," Moreno replied. She can scream and rant, but she can count; she didn't want to acknowledge it.
Then she said, "Come talk to me in private.' Why does she want to talk in private? She didn't want to admit it in public, where it would blow up the Democratic narrative even more. Too late, we already know how many votes it takes.
Rosen talks about the "suffering of the people." But if she and the other Democrats really cared about any of that, then why are they continuing to vote against opening up the government? And the Republicans keep coming to the table, the Democrats keep voting no. She's throwing a fit at a situation she and the other Democrats caused, and then shamelessly trying to blame it on Republicans.
So who is "blind" here? Hint: it isn't the Republicans. This continues to show the American people how the Democrats cannot be trusted on even the most basic concepts. All they care about is using whatever angle they can to get control to push their political agenda.

Democrats refuse the facts. It's the Democratic shutdown, and they can't get around it, no matter how many times they avoid the question. Good on Moreno for driving that home.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
