Watch Hakeem Jeffries Spin: It's Wrong to Question Biden Decline Cover-Up After Cancer Diagnosis

You have to hand it to Democrats. Whenever you think they've hit their worst, they can always go lower.

We saw Democratic operative David Axelrod go there, saying that now that Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, the questioning about the cover-up of his cognitive decline should be more "muted."

Now, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) is taking that same tack: How dare Republicans question Democrats about the cover-up of his cognitive decline after Biden's cancer diagnosis was made public?

Jeffries said it seemed to him "entirely inappropriate that at this moment in time" when Biden was dealing with a serious and aggressive cancer, "there are Republicans who are peddling conspiracy theories, and want us to look backward, at a time when they are actually taking healthcare away from the American people."

"As House Democrats, we're going to look forward. They literally are trying to take healthcare away from millions of Americans at this very moment, in the dead of night. Republicans want to fan the flames of conspiracy theories at this moment? No, thank you."

Gee, why would anyone question Democrats after they weren't straight about Biden's cognitive decline? So, if you have a "D" after your name, you should now get a pass? No, Biden's cancer diagnosis should not stop the questioning of how Democrats covered up his decline. They don't want to be held accountable. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy also skewered Jeffries and Schumer, specifically saying they were in the same position to see what he saw with Biden, and that he called it out when he was Speaker.

Let's talk about "conspiracy theories" from Democrats — from Russia collusion to the Hunter Biden laptop being Russian disinformation, they've sailed that conspiracy boat many times. They have no credibility to attack all the legitimate questions here.

Even now, Jeffries is not telling the truth about Republicans taking away healthcare. As I noted previously, he and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) got together on their "cognitive decline" message even before the cancer diagnosis was announced, not responding to questions about the cover-up, but saying they were going to "look forward," then going immediately to "Republicans are trying to take your healthcare."

Indeed, it's the Democrats who want to take your tax cuts. If the bill doesn't pass, and the 2017 tax cuts aren't extended, Americans will pay more. But the Democrats don't want you to know that.
