Hilarious WH Moments With Trump, the Irish PM, JD Vance - and His Socks

Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin visited the White House on Wednesday.

There were some fun moments when President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance answered some questions with him during the photo op. There were some laugh-out-loud moments, two in particular.

First, Brian Glenn, who works for Real America's Voice, asked the Taoiseach (head of government) of Ireland why he allowed actress Rosie O’Donnell to move there?

REPORTER: "Ireland is known for very happy, fun loving people ... Why in the world would you let Rosie O'Donnell move to Ireland!?"@POTUS: "Did you know you have Rosie O'Donnell? Do you know who she is?"

Taoiseach: .....@POTUS: "You're better off not knowing."

“Ireland is known for very happy, fun loving people,” he said.

“Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland?” Glenn said she was going to "lower your happiness level."

I think Martin wasn't aware that she'd moved there and maybe didn't even know who she was -- he looked a bit confused.

Trump came to his rescue. “Thank you, I like that question. Did you know you have Rosie O’Donnell? Do you know who she is?” he asked Matin.

Then Trump finished off the question with, “You’re better off not knowing.”

That was just vintage funny Trump.

As we reported, O'Donnell released a video on Tuesday explaining she'd moved to Ireland on Jan. 15 following the election.

But that wasn't all. Vance met earlier with the PM and mentioned that President Trump was a "very big fan of conservative dress." But Vance said when they met with Trump, the PM had to defend him because he was wearing shamrock socks to help cement the relationship with Ireland.

Then came the moment in the White House, and yes, Trump did notice the socks.

Trump said he was "trying to stay focused," but that he was "very impressed with the VP's socks."

How nice it is to finally have some humor and a truly funny president in charge. That's one of the reasons people enjoy him so. Not to mention a good relationship between the president and the vice president, joking with each other. Looks like JD knows his boss at this point and knows what will get him going.

Moreover, JD Vance is quickly becoming a legend between his reaction to the meme craze and now the socks; he's showing a human side to a VP that we haven't seen in a long time.

The Trump team is taking on a lot to fix the mess that was left to them, and there's certainly a lot to clean up. But they're also having fun doing it.
