MSNBC 'Shockingly' Digs up Guest With Holocaust Ties to Blame Trump for Santos Lies

MSNBC wouldn’t be MSNBC if the “news” outlet didn’t blame everything wrong on the planet on Donald Trump. In this episode, “Morning Joe” guest host Katty Kay did the honors that would’ve been gleefully handled by co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, both of whom loathe the very ground on which Trump walks. The TDS-riddled duo no doubt lamented their Christmas vacation absence.

At issue for Kay & Co., was New York Republican Congressman-elect George Santos and the lies he told about his job experience and college education during his successful campaign.

Even though Santos fessed up when questioned, Democrats and their “mainstream” media lapdogs quickly demanded an investigation of the congressman-elect, while some have called on Santos to resign.

Democrat-turned-independent Tulsi Gabbard blasted Santos, as well, while filling in for vacationing Fox News host Tucker Carlson. “Do you have no shame?” — Gabbard asked Santos.

To be sure, Santos running for office and winning — all the while telling blatant lies — was inexcusable and should be universally condemned by members of both parties, as should be candidates or lawmakers of either party caught in a web of lies, which we’ll get to in a minute.

As reported by NewsBusters, Kay’s guest was Democrat Congressman-elect Jared Moskowitz of Florida, who has tweeted that, in contrast with Santos, he actually does have relatives who were Holocaust victims.

Kay kicked off the predictable festivities:

Democratic Congressman-elect Jared Moskowitz from Florida is just one of the loudest voices calling Santos out about his lies about his religion.

In a tweet, Moskowitz wrote, quote, ‘Lying about your family almost being gassed in showers or being put in ovens in order to win an election is the lowest form of humanity. And I say that as someone whose grandmother was part of the kinderstransport out of Germany from the Holocaust.’

Congressman-elect Moskowitz joins us now.

Congressman-elect, thank you very much for joining us. Your great-grandparents were killed in Auschwitz. Your grandparents barely escaped Europe on the kindertransport there. What do you make of what Santos is claiming about his heritage?

Needless to say, Moskowitz was loaded for bear. Make that Santos and Trump (emphasis, mine):

Not surprising, unfortunately, because this is what folks on his side of the aisle have learned. They have learned this from, you know, the leader of their party. That you can traffic in these lies and you can get away with it.

So I mean, look, it starts with lying about your college, it starts witht lying about your job. It goes to lying about a charity that he says he ran and he didn’t run. And then he goes about lying that he lost employees in the mass murder at Pulse nightclub in Florida. And he lies about his religion.

And in a piece with his stance on trafficking in lies, [he claims] he has family members that escaped the Holocaust.

And so, you know, the idea that there’s someone out there, someone who now serves in Congress, who thought electorally it would be significantly advantageous to him that he would come up with a lie that he had family members close to him, his grandparents, escape one of the world’s greatest tragedies, it’s just the lowest form of humanity.

Ah, we’ll revisit that trafficking in lies and getting away with it part in a minute.

The horror of the Holocaust aside, exploiting it for political purposes is pretty despicable. But let’s pick up on Moskowitz’s point about leaders of political parties trafficking in lies and getting away with it. I’m gonna agree with you, Jared, with just two words: Joe Biden.

As I reported on Wednesday, Joe Biden has lied throughout his 50 years in D.C. politics, including blatantly plagiarizing entire speeches. In my article, I included a short “greatest hits” list of some of Biden’s more memorable whoppers:

Let’s do a quick refresh, shall we? Here’s a partial summary of Joe’s lies:

  • Made multiple lies about his academic background. Among them was his claim to have graduated in the top half of his law school class. He graduated 76th out of 85.
  • Fabricated his family background, plagiarizing a story from Brit Neil Kinnock’s speech about his family bio.
  • Lied about his wife and daughter being killed by a drunk driver.
  • Lied about quitting the Delaware football team in order to visit his girlfriend. In fact, he quit because of poor grades.
  • Lied in saying, “I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State.” He never attended Delaware State or any historically black college or university.
  • Lied about his involvement in the civil rights movement.
  • Lied about being arrested in South Africa while trying to visit Nelson Mandela in prison.

So, Mr. smug Democrat Congressman-elect? If politicians who traffic in lies shouldn’t get away with their serial lying? Then why is Joe Biden still in office? Take your time making up predictable hypocritical crap — I’ll wait.

The Bottom Line

I’ve written the following multiple times and will no doubt continue doing so, but the Democrat Party is the most hypocritical group of disingenuous people on the face of the planet. Even worse, they blatantly do so while fully aware of their hypocrisy.

That, Mr. Congressman-elect, is the lowest form of humanity in politics.
