The White House revealed what they called their “favorite Christmas ornament” this year, and it’s a hilarious dig at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader, Democrat Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8).

In a post on Thursday on X from the official White House account, a clip featured a close-up shot of a Christmas tree and ornaments when the special ornament comes into view. And you guessed it, it’s a shiny red, colorful sombrero glass ornament.

“I wanna wish you a merry Christmas… from the bottom of my heart,” the post read, a reference to the lyrics of that popular Christmas song, “Feliz Navidad.”

“Featuring this year’s favorite ornament— @RepJeffries, @SenSchumer,” it added, including tags to get both Jeffries and Schumer’s attention.

And this is just hilarious, given how much attention all those sombrero memes during the never-ending Schumer shutdown generated.

Judging from the comments in the thread, people loved it, some asking where they could get this ornament, others using Grok to create new red-hat sombrero memes. Check out a few below.

President Donald Trump is a giving man, and on Wednesday, he gave us another early Christmas present when the White House revealed some of the latest upgrades that had been made to some of the presidential portraits that hang in the “Presidential Walk of Fame” along the West Wing Colonnade, as my RedState colleague Rusty Weiss reported.

Weiss wrote:

The prominent hallway area features gold-framed portraits of past presidents. And Trump has already shown his desire to add context and accuracy to the portraits, replacing the headshot of Joe Biden with who was actually running the country during his four years in office—the autopen.

Never one to rest on his laurels, President Trump has now added plaques under recent Democratic presidents' portraits. Plaques that add essential information and context to their presidencies. In the most Trumpian of manners, of course.

And what do those plaques say? Well, take this one on former President Barack Obama, for example, which needed two to get all of what Trump wanted in there displayed.

On the plaque, Obama is described as "one of the most divisive political figures in American history,” as Weiss noted.

It is also pointed out that Obama was the architect of "the highly ineffective 'Unaffordable' Care Act, brought about a resurgence in ISIS, and helped engineer the Russia collusion hoax.

It is crazy how good Trump and this administration are at tweaking their opponents. We are all here for it.
