NFL's Roger Goodell's Weakness on Full Display With Response About Choosing Bad Bunny for Super Bowl

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's time to leave his role is so far past that it is not funny. But his answer to a backlash against Super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny and transgender players in the future of the league should close the door on him permanently.

Speaking to members of the press following the NFL's annual fall owners meeting, Goodell made it clear they will not be changing out the anti-ICE Puerto Rican singer who attacked Americans during his "Saturday Night Live" appearance, singing in Spanish and telling them they have four months to learn the language if they want to understand what he's saying at the Super Bowl halftime show.

"It's an important stage for us," Goodell said. "It's an important element to the entertainment value. It's carefully thought through."

"I'm not sure we've ever selected an artist where we didn't have some blowback or criticism," he added. "It's pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching."

"But I'm confident it's going to be a great show," Goodell continued. "He understands the platform that he's on, and I think it's going to be exciting and a united moment."

Part of me thinks Goodell looked generally shocked by the question. But the other part knows that this is the same person who wholeheartedly embraced promoting Black Lives Matter, and pushing social justice messages to fans of the NFL after George Floyd's death.

It wasn't just his response to Bad Bunny. He utterly failed to stand up for girls' and women's rights in sports, to not have to play against a biological male.

It happened when Goodell was asked about the growing popularity of flag football as part of the league's future, among girls and women, by an OutKick reporter.

So, I asked Roger Goodell what the NFL would do about transgender girls in girls' flag football, and he said it hasn't been on the radar.

The NFL commissioner's response:

"Armando, it's something we haven't discussed at this point in time," Goodell said. "So, I don't have an answer on that for you. We haven't even discussed that."

Really? No, answer on an issue that was 80-20 during the 2024 election, with Americans overwhelmingly appalled by the unfairness of boys playing in girls' sports, not to mention the danger it puts them in?

The league that literally celebrates the strength and athleticism of men needs a stronger leader than Goodell, who unabashedly refuses to stop promoting a woke agenda despite the fact fans of the league want none of it.
