So Long, Dan Goldman? The Rabid Attack Democrat Rep. May Be Primaried by a Mamdani-Backed Progressive

The anti-incumbent, anti-Israel fever is set to take out Democrat Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10). Trust me, no one on the left or the right will be sad to see him go.

New York Rep. Dan Goldman could badly lose his re-election bid, a shocking new survey found.

Former city Comptroller Brad Lander leads the incumbent congressman by a yawning 34 points — 57% to 23% — in the upcoming Democratic primary for the 10th House District, according to the Emerson College poll.

“While all age groups break for Lander, his most significant support comes from voters under 40, who break for Lander over Goldman, 73% to 15%,” said Emerson pollster Spencer Kimball.

Goldman was the lead counsel for House Democrats in the first impeachment of President Donald Trump. Goldman infamously decided to pick a fight with Angel Mom Josephine Dunn, who lost her child to fentanyl, and testified before Congress at the impeachment hearing for former DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Goldman was as hateful and condescending as usual, but ended up with his tail between his legs.

Goldman had the nerve to rant about the impeachment of Mayorkas being a political stunt, when he chooses to be the face of political stunts himself.

Goldman's most recent face plant was at a Homeland Security oversight hearing. With his usual misogynistic condescension, he tried to strong-arm Ha Nguyen McNeill, a female TSA official, into saying what he wanted to hear. McNeill stood her ground.

At today’s @HomelandGOP hearing on DHS, Ms. McNeill from @TSA said she is thankful that ICE has helped alleviate the burden TSA is facing as we are in the third shutdown of this fiscal year.

While Congressional Republicans are working to end the shutdown, Democrats are trying to intimidate DHS witnesses into agreeing with them. The difference could not be clearer.

As RedState's Becca Lower wrote:

[I]t's a challenge to narrow down the most repulsive Democrat in Congress, Goldman could well be in the runner-up spot to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA-14)

Swalwell is gone... perhaps Goldman will not be far behind.

This Is What We're Dealing With

The legacy media is framing it as a pro-Israel, pro-Palestine election.

Lander previously represented much of the Brooklyn portion of the district — which encompasses Lower Manhattan and brownstone Brooklyn — while serving in the City Council.

Goldman, a Levi Strauss heir and former federal prosecutor who served as lead counsel in the first impeachment proceeding against President Trump, was first elected to Congress in 2022.

His main liability seems to be his record backing Israel in a progressive district where many Democrats have turned against the Jewish state amid fighting in the Middle East.

The survey of 450 voters taken on May 16-17 has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.6 percentage points.

Should things not go well for Goldman, Republican candidate for NY-10 Jennifer Moore still has her work cut out for her, but at least she won't be condescended to.

The New York primary is slated for June 23, 2026.

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
