The Press Running Defense for Zohran Mamdani's Communism Proves Something About Them

Zohran Mamdani is openly spouting phrases from the Communist manifesto, throwing him into a column of people who are openly proclaiming their Communistic intentions alongside their wille zur macht. Most people like to hide it behind flowery language, but Mamdani's been loud about his endgame... you know, until recently.

It's still hard to sell Communism to Americans, so he's had to be a bit sneaky about it as he gets closer to the Mayor's office of New York City.

Still, as Bonchie reported on Monday, Mamdani has quite recently said he's willing to "seize the means of production" and he made it very clear that America needs to "elect more socialists." Socialism, of course, being the grease that slides a civilization into communism.

I recommend you go read all of Bonchie's piece and check out Mamdani's own words for yourself, but what I'm interested in — as per the usual — is the press's reaction to it, which I can only describe as "fawning."

The WSJ swooned over him, NBC apparently wants to date him, but most importantly of all, they're all trying to recontextualize his apparent Marxist leanings.

As my colleague Sister Toldjah noted, even Jake Tapper seems to be tampering down the accusations being thrown at Mamdani by claiming he's not seen any videos of the candidate praising Hamas, which incumbent Mayor Eric Adams assured him there is. Toldjah posted a few in the article for your perusal.

President Donald Trump has said on more than one occasion that the press is the enemy of the people, and while that's absolutely true, I think they're more so the enemy of the Republican Party.

The legacy media suffers from a very extreme bout of Trump Derangement Syndrome, a meme sickness usually used as a way to describe the media's intense hatred of Trump, but that I'm pretty convinced is actually real. To be sure, it goes well beyond Trump. The media has been pushing the idea that every Republican is the return of the Nazis, the Confederacy, and the Spanish Inquisition all at once... despite the fact that no one ever really expects them.

The media is just as invested in the Democrat Party's success as the Democrat's themselves. The ideological alignment is such that the media will do whatever it takes to make sure Democrat's stay in power, even if it costs them their integrity and reputation. They're more than willing to tell Goliath sized lies that are easily disproven on the chance that they will convince the ignorant and willingly mislead.

Trust in the legacy media has never been lower as a result, but this hasn't stopped them, and it's not likely to anytime soon.

Does this mean that the legacy media is, itself, Communist?

I wouldn't go so far as to say that all of them are. I'm pretty sure they're hanging out in the ranks. If I were to tour legacy media facilities, I'd bet I'd find a few hippie-era boomers and fresh-faced post-grads who would wave the red flag, but I think what we're seeing here from the media has more to do with being anti-Trump/Republican than ideologically centered in Communist idealism.

The bottom line here is that they'd rather elect a Communist that would absolutely resist Trump and the Republicans than a Republican who won't play ball at all. They see Mamdani as a part of their team because the only qualification you need to be a part of it is to be willing to do or say whatever the moment needs to make their most hated enemies look bad.

If they have to help a Communist into office by running defense for him, so be it. Better him than another foothold gone. Better a system that sees humanity as a disease to be cured than a politician that might be too friendly with Trump take office for a little while.

The thing is, Communism is woefully destructive to a civilization. Hundreds of millions of people have died because of it, whether through disease and starvation or murder. It is evil. Period.

It's also anti-human in several ways, including the fact that our species cannot work naturally within that kind of system.

If the press is willing to bring Communism down upon the heads of the American people just to own the Republicans, then they're not just the enemy of the Republicans, they're exactly what Trump described them as: The enemy of the people.

So desperate are they for a return to a Democrat-heavy power dynamic that they'll cheerlead a man who praises terrorists and loves Communism straight into the seat of power in one of the greatest cities in the world. So heavy is their TDS, that they'll hold up a man whose ideology has cast humanity into dark ages filled with death and fear.

That is your enemy.
