As New York City barrels toward further destruction by electing Zohran Mamdani as mayor, more and more of his past comments are being unearthed, and they paint a disturbing picture.

On Sunday evening, a clip from 2021 showing Mamdani declaring that the "end goal is to seize the means of production" went viral. Here's a pop quiz for you: What do you call someone who wants to seize the means of production? Any guesses?

Best of luck, NYC

If you answered "a communist" to the above, you'd be correct. There is no more fundamental aspect of communism than seizing the means of production. So, how do you think noted fact-checking outlet Politifact handled this issue? Did they do a deep dive into Mamdani's past to give an honest assessment of his ideology? Of course not. They just declared it false to say he's a communist, even though he's absolutely, without a doubt, by his own admission, a communist.
A good reminder that Politifact is not a serious or reliable fact-checking organization. pic.twitter.com/bE2JmE8iov

If you've noticed that words have no meaning on the left anymore, that's intentional. The subversion of language to declare truthful things untrue (or vice versa) for political positioning is one of their primary tactics. Mamdani has also stated his intent to create city-owned grocery stores, seize housing from landlords, defund the police (to institute "queer liberation"), and tax "whiter neighborhoods." But don't you dare call him a communist.
Instead, find someone who smiles at you the way NBC News' Kristen Welker smiles at Mamdani.

Oh, it gets worse, though. The Wall Street Journal, a supposedly free-market-supporting enterprise, swooned over Mamdani, excusing his communist positions based on the tightness of his necktie. I'm not kidding.
Zohran Mamdani campaigned in a dark suit with a white shirt and a slim patterned tie knotted tightly at the neck. The overall effect was sober professionalism, not radical chic. https://t.co/InWFURSxT2

We are firmly in "admiring the crease in Barack Obama's pants" territory with this guy. Keep in mind, all of Mamdani's crazy, communistic positions were stated just three to four years ago. They weren't part of some since-renounced stage he went through in high school. Although funny enough, he was definitely a communist in high school, too.
Of course he did pic.twitter.com/kGMun8wQCL

At the end of the day, American communists are just bored, privileged theater kids with nothing better to do than destroy Western civilization. Mamdani went to a $60,000 a year private school before going to Columbia, where his father taught. He didn't grow up hard knocks. He doesn't know anything about the plight of the poor. He's just a radical who wants power and control, and he'll be happy to live like a king while others suffer. If New York City voters actually elect this guy in the general election, they deserve what they get.
