It has been less than a week since the announcement that Joe Biden was stepping away from the election and that Kamala Harris is ascending to the top of the Democratic ticket. Biden, who declared boldly it would take an act of God to remove him, was so forced out of the election that he may have left fingernail marks on the door jam of the election office. Yet the press attempts to elevate him to a historic level for being kicked out like a drunk at a roadhouse.
In a matter of hours, the press has belched out a disturbing level of rave reviews and swooning reports about Kamala Harris. On top of all of the pimping being done, there is also a fierce attempt to rewrite her history. The press is not looking at Harris critically, they are working to distance her from any issues that may pull her down in the election.
Making this blatant bias all the worse are the instances of reporters not just contradicting the press in the past, not just refuting their outlets, but reversing themselves from past reports. Given the major reports - and the words of Kamala Harris herself - this is an effort the press will fail at wildly.
