Many politicians, especially Democrats, seemingly have no shame button — think, the Clintons, Gavin Newsom, or Chuck “Shut It Down” Schumer, for starters. Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker now goes to the top of the list with his latest statement on the horrific murder of a young student allegedly at the hands of a 25-year-old Venezuelan illegal immigrant named Jose Medina (sometimes reported as Medina-Medina).
As we reported, 18-year-old Loyola University freshman Sheridan Gorman was gunned down on March 19 as she was walking along the shores of Lake Michigan with friends.
Although Pritzker has been a sanctuary state, illegal alien-loving guy who thinks taxpayers should fund their health insurance, and he supported former President Joe “Let Them All” Biden and his insane immigration policies, he knows just who to blame for this latest tragedy: President Donald Trump.
No, really. Talk about a failure to look in the mirror moment.
In a statement Tuesday, the TDS-riddled governor — who didn’t even say a word for four days following the outrage — said that he was blameless and that it was all the Trump administration’s fault:
"This has been a terrible tragedy, and I know that the Gorman family has suffered mightily… There have been real failures. Those failures, of course, extend beyond the borders of Illinois. That’s their national failures, a failure to have comprehensive immigration reform, a failure of the president to follow his own edict to go after the worst of the worst," Pritzker said Tuesday.
Pritzker made the comments as homes in Yorktown Heights, New York, where Gorman is from, were lit up in green on Tuesday night in honor of the slain Loyola University Chicago student. Green is one of Yorktown's school colors, according to CBS News.
It almost leaves me speechless.
Pritzker, who, like all Democrats, has shrieked and moaned at every effort by Trump to clamp down on illegal immigration, nab the bad guys, and repatriate those who have no business being here, seems to imply that the president hasn't gone hard enough. A mind-blowing lack of self-awareness, or perhaps more precisely, a deeply cynical attempt to gaslight the public while showing exactly zero compassion for the victim.

If you aren’t angry enough at Pritzker’s utter duplicity, this might do it for you:
"And in my view, we have a lot of work that we need to continue to do," he added. "But it is the job of the federal government to go after immigration enforcement, and it is the job of our local and state law enforcement to prosecute or catch violent criminals and prosecute them, and we should continue to do that both on the state level and the national level."
He actually says this with a straight face when his city is bedeviled by almost nightly shootings, and he and like-minded Democrats like CA Gov. Gavin Newsom fight law and order at every step of the way and do everything in their power to hamper illegal immigration enforcement.
Note to JB:
Medina-Medina, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was apprehended by the U.S. Border Patrol on May 9, 2023, and was released into the U.S. under the Biden administration, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

This latest tragedy is one in a long line, including the murders of Jocelyn Nungaray, Laken Riley, and Rachel Morin at the hands of illegal aliens. Trump is one of the few politicians who have actually tried to do something about the scourge, so to read the words of an oily Democrat who has been at the center of creating the problem is noxious.
I live in California, and I thought Gavin Newsom was as duplicitous and shameless as they come — but I may have been wrong. Pritzker might even be more depraved.
