Now Confirmed: Suspect in Killing of Loyola Student Is an Illegal Alien

Earlier on Sunday, we reported on the horrible shooting death of Loyola University Student Sheridan Gorman. The accused shooter has now been reported to be one Jose Medina-Medina, from Venezuela, and - shocker - he is in the United States illegally.

Medina-Medina is in custody for the shooting death of Miss Gorman, who was shot in the back about 1:00 AM on Thursday while walking in a park with friends.

Earlier on Sunday, I wrote:

In the latest outrage, one Sheridan Gorman, an 18-year-old student from New York who was attending Chicago's Loyola University, was shot to death near the Loyola campus last Thursday, and now an alien from Venezuela has been arrested for her senseless, unprovoked murder.
A Venezuelan migrant was arrested in connection with the execution-style murder of a New York teen on a night stroll with friends near Loyola University Chicago’s campus on Thursday, according to reports.
The 25-year-old man, who hasn’t been officially charged, is accused of approaching 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman, of Yorktown Heights, NY, at the Loyola Beach Pier before firing the fatal shot from behind.
The unidentified suspect was wearing black clothes and a black mask when he allegedly killed the first-year Loyola University Chicago student at around 1:30 a.m., the Chicago Tribune reported.
A bystander witnessed the gunman fire a single shot at Gorman before she could run away.

The Department of Homeland Security, according to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, has confirmed that Medina-Medina is an illegal alien.

Mr. Melugin's post continues:

DHS says he was also released from local custody after a shoplifting arrest in the sanctuary city of Chicago on June 19, 2023.
DHS identifies the suspect as Venezuelan national Jose Medina-Medina. Medina-Medina is accused of approaching Gorman while she was walking in a park with friends early Thursday morning.
DHS says Medina-Medina came up to her while wearing a mask and armed with a gun. As she attempted to flee, he fired his gun and shot her. Gorman was shot and pronounced dead at the scene.
DHS statement:
“Sheridan Gorman had her whole life ahead of her before this cold-blooded killer decided to end her life. She was failed by open border policies and sanctuary politicians who RELEASED this illegal alien TWICE before he went on to commit this heinous murder,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “We are calling on Governor Pritzker and Chicago’s sanctuary politicians to commit to not releasing this criminal illegal alien from jail back into American neighborhoods.”

Fox News' Matt Finn reports that the Department of Homeland Security has already asked for a detainer for this goblin.

That's where things stand at the moment.

So now, we can add Sheridan Gorman to a list of names: Rachel Morin, Jocelyn Nungaray, Laken Riley, and hundreds of other victims who should be bright, happy, and alive, right now, but are not - because of the non-enforcement of border security and immigration laws by the Biden administration.
