In a political minute ago, Democrat Katie Porter, former University of California bankruptcy/consumer law professor, U.S House Representative, and Elizabeth Warren protégé, was the frontrunner to replace California Gov. Gavin Newsom (thankfully, he is termed out in 2026), but the hard-core bullying leftist’s chances took a serious hit when damaging videos were released this week showing her abusing a reporter for asking simple questions and, in another clip, cursing like a sailor at a lowly staffer who dared to “step into her shot.”
Nice.
Unfortunately, the Golden State is not faced with a plethora of suitable options, although Republican Steve Hilton is running a strong race and the tough-talking Sheriff of Riverside County, Chad Bianco, is in the mix, but we all know that a GOP win is a tough hill to climb, given the state’s far-left electorate. Who votes in Gavin Newsom—twice? Shaking my head.
It’s hard to see Porter taking the mantle, however, as she has shown none of Newsom’s central casting characteristics nor none of his smooth-talking gaslighting abilities as he casually dismisses the utter failure and dystopia he’s brought upon the state.
In fact, her attempt to clean up her brutal remarks with "Inside California Politics" host Nikki Laurenzois is frankly pathetic:
"I could have handled things better. I think I’m known as someone who’s able to handle tough questions, who’s willing to answer questions.” - Katie Porter, known for not being able to handle or answer softball questions let alone tough questions pic.twitter.com/zDGCaoeFlL

She struggles to breathe between every sentence and is about as convincing as the guy with a wet moustache trying to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
Katie Porter Takes Her Abusive Tendencies to the Next Level With Sociopathic Response to Scandals
Porter's "explanation" seems like it came right out of the mouth of spouse abusers everywhere:
“When I look at those videos, I want people to know that I understand that I could have handled things better,” Porter said.“ [Ya think?!]
"I think I’m known as someone who’s able to handle tough questions, who’s willing to answer questions, and I want people to know that I really value the incredible work that my staff can do.”
You mean, the staff that you abuse like they’re “Game of Thrones” housemaids?” Yeah, not buying it, Ms. Porter. As RedState’s Bonchie reported, the list of abuses is long:
Of course, those are just the latest in a long line of examples showing the former congresswoman has serious anger issues. Certainly, Porter's ex-husband thinks so, given she allegedly poured scalding potatoes on his head. She also verbally abused a wounded warrior who was sent to work in her office, blaming the military veteran for giving her COVID-19. Now, Porter has responded to her latest woes in the most sociopathic way possible.
This is a woman who feels no remorse for anything.

We’ve seen some truly toxic characters on the Democrat side—think intellect-challenged California Dem. Rep. Eric Swalwell, flamethrowing race-baiter and Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, America-hating Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and more, but Porter may simply be the meanest of them all.
Her attempts to clean up her toxicity are utterly lame, and she should call it a political career now and go try to sell real estate—or maybe timeshares. That would seem to be more up her alley.
Here are her full remarks:
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
