CNN Analyst Explains in Funny Clip Just How Badly Katie Porter May Have Nuked Her Chances for CA Governor

I have to admit that I enjoy the enthusiasm that CNN's senior data analyst Harry Enten has for his numbers, particularly when those numbers redound to the detriment of Democrats.

So I found it very funny when Enten could hardly contain his amusement at the implosion of Katie Porter in the California governor's race, after her disastrous interview where she freaked out over a simple question.

Here's the part of that interview that was her denouement:

Not only was her freakout bad, but the lighting and her wild eyes made things even worse.

If that clip wasn't bad enough, it was followed by Politico dropping another clip of Porter losing it at a staffer. Porter screamed at the staffer for walking into her "f**king shot" during a virtual meeting Porter was having with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm back in July 2021.

My gosh, who would want a boss like that? Or a governor? If she can't answer basic questions, how can she handle being governor? And her comment to the reporter that she hasn't been asked questions like that before is more a comment on how she's never been pressed with real questions. Sounds like she's been used to dealing with fawning media, as opposed to normal media.

Enten said that he was "not sure I've ever seen anyone potentially annihilate their gov chances as fast as Katie Porter did this week."

He mocked Porter, "I'm looking around. I don't seem to see anyone in my shot...unlike Katie Porter. The Katie Porter 'snappings' have been heard around the world."

He noted that the Kalshi prediction markets had her dropping through the floor as a result. She had been the plurality leader at 40 percent, with Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) at 10 percent, and he hasn't even declared yet. Now he's rocketed past her to 27 percent, while she's dropped to 16 percent. Meanwhile, people are googling Porter and "interview."

Enten laughed at how many times Fox had covered her. It's hard not to, when someone makes such a public mess of things.

He finished it off, looking over his shoulder again to see if anyone was in his shot. Now that's funny.

Those numbers surely don't sound good for Porter. I'm not sure Padilla is any better, but one has to wonder if things are dropping because someone has decided they'd rather take their chances with him than Porter.

Democrats lack quality candidates. When even CNN is laughing, Porter may have a problem.

Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
