California Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter's entire disastrous interview has been released after a small portion went viral recently. In the interview, Porter goes psycho on a reporter when faced with hard questions about having to win over voters who elected President Donald Trump.
CBS News Sacramento investigative reporter Julie Watts reacted to the viral clip and posted on X her entire interview that she had with the former member of Congress, but also other Democrats and Republicans, hoping to be governor of the state.
Since this 3min excerpt of 30min segment went viral, we decided to post it ourselves. But I’d encourage you to watch the full segment. https://t.co/wHQcHbybqF @CBSNews @kcalnews @CBSSacramento @KPIXtv pic.twitter.com/A80fBGiFxE

Katie Porter Is Apparently an Absolute Lunatic
"Since this 3-minute excerpt of a 30-minute segment went viral, we decided to post it ourselves. But I'd encourage you to watch the full segment," Watts wrote, while linking to the entire YouTube clip.
Porter first appears at the start of the video, saying she supports Newsom's plan, calling for a special election for Proposition 50. The proposal would allow Democrats to gerrymander the Congressional districts in the state, where the map has already been massively altered in order to benefit Democrats. It comes at the 5:50 minute mark.
Newsom and CA Democrats have claimed that they have to do this in response to Texas, which followed their state constitution to redraw its congressional district maps mid-decade, giving Republicans five more seats.
As my RedState colleague Bob Hoge reported, Newsom is doing the complete opposite, sidelining the will of Californians by removing the established Independent Redistricting Commission until 2031, effectively wiping out CA Republican representation in Congress.

The viral part comes at the 14:37 minute mark in the entire interview, as my RedState colleague Bonchie reported.
The clip can be seen below, in which Porter wants to call the interview, and it's bizarre.

This video not only showed the insane responses from Porter, who's been accused of having anger issues, but also the very stark contrast between her and the other candidates who want to lead the state. Democrats interviewed overwhelmingly claimed it wasn't a power grab and saw nothing wrong with it.
Democrat gubernatorial hopeful Democrat Betty Yee admitted that red districts were being redrawn to become blue ones. When the reporter stated that, "By definition, the whole point is to outweigh their vote."
In short, Yee basically claimed that Democrats know better what Republicans need, so they need to just get on board. It is clear from Yee's response that she has no idea how our representative government works. It comes at the 18:40 mark.
Then Porter is back as she attempts to claim California Democrats have some kind of moral high ground over Texas, when the reporter said CA was doing the same as Texas. It comes at the 26:40 minute mark.
"It is not two wrongs. This is different. What Texas is doing is acting out of the course of the census," Porter said. When the reporter pushed back and said California was doing similar, Porter ignored her question.
"They're doing it because Donald Trump instructed them to do it," she added, "And who's doing it in Texas, who's making the decision? The legislature."
Democrat Xavier Becerra, with a straight face, responded to the redistricting move, claiming no one should take away a person’s vote, when that’s precisely what the Democrats are trying to do in the state. It comes at the 10:10 minute mark.
“No one should do power grabs,” Becerra said. “No one is a king. No one has a right to deny you your vote.”
Meanwhile, Democrat Antonio Villaraigosa said basically “you win a few, you lose a few,” when asked if he’s worried about alienating the voters who supported Trump. It comes at the 18:15 minute mark.
It actually took Republican gubernatorial hopeful Steve Hilton to point out the fact that Texas was, in fact, "following its constitution," which no one else she interviewed apparently knew about. It comes at the 5:15 and again at the 27:03 minute mark.
"Texas didn't change its constitution to take the power out of the hands of the politicians to redraw the districts, put it in the hands of the people, "Hilton said. "Which we did [in CA]. No one wanted this."
Every single one of these Democrat candidates would be a disaster for the once-Golden State.
