Now that Joe Biden is out of office, the reality of what was going on in the White House during his tenure is finally starting to pour out in tell-all books, exposés, and interviews with people-in-the-know. Although we reported these issues here at RedState while the mainstream media actively tried to cover them up, the truth is that Joe Biden was severely mentally—and now it turns out physically, as well—compromised and was basically unable to serve as commander in chief.

And now another unethical player is coming clean: former Obama aide Jon Lovett, one of the so-called “Obama Bros.” He reveals he didn’t care about the future of the country, our security as a nation, or his own morality—he just wanted to freaking win. Although he didn’t use the word freaking.

Ex-Obama aide and "Pod Save America" co-host Jon Lovett admitted on Jon Stewart’s "The Weekly Show" podcast that he withheld his concerns about President Joe Biden’s physical decline during the 2024 campaign. Lovett told Stewart and his fellow "Pod Save America" host Jon Favreau that he didn't want to publicly voice his concern over Biden's declining health because he wanted him "to f------ win."

"I remember feeling I want to talk about this as a huge liability. To talk about this is [sic] something Joe Biden can overcome, but I’m not going to go so far as to say, ‘I think Joe Biden must drop out. He is too old to be president,’" Lovett said on the podcast. "A, because I didn’t know exactly what was going on behind the scenes, but B, if Joe Biden is the candidate, I want him to f------ win."

How craven and nefarious is that? Answer: very. Unfortunately, so many of these people seem to be incapable of feeling shame, although they absolutely should be feeling it now and for a long time for what they did.

Lovett is featured in [the Jake Tapper/Alex Thompson book] "Original Sin" in an anecdote where he and his "Pod Save America" co-hosts Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer met with Biden at the White House on April 26, 2024. The book described them as "deeply disturbed" after their discussions with Biden that night, with the authors describing the president as rambling and "incoherent."

Look, people who were paying attention before all these revelations knew a lot of this already. We knew they were liars, we knew they would do anything to cling to power, and we knew they were unscrupulous. Still, to hear it come out of their own mouths as if somehow they’ve cleansed their sins by talking about it—acting as if they deserve some sort of forgiveness—is nauseating.

They deserve zero forgiveness, and Jake Tapper, Lovett, the other Obama Bros., and in fact the entire mainstream media need to be reminded of it every single day for the duration of their careers.

They failed America, and they gave up any sense of morality to do it.
