Shameless: Jake Tapper Continues to Pretend He's Not Guilty of Most Rampant Hypocrisy Imaginable

There are certain folks—many of them politicians—who just don’t seem to feel shame the way normal people do. Bill Clinton fits the bill, as does Joe Biden and California Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Schiff can be wrong 101 times in a row, but he’s quite sure he’ll be right on the 101^st try.

Jake Tapper has recently shot to the top of the most shameless, hypocritical figures in media list with the publication of his new book, written with fellow gaslighter, Axios' Alex Thompson, called “Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again.”

Although the tome has revealed some jaw-dropping stories of what was going on in the White House as the staff tried to cover up Biden’s obvious mental decline, the premise of the book itself is ludicrous. Jake and his network were very, very much behind the cover-up and participated in the lying enthusiastically.

It’s like a serial offender writing a blistering op-ed for the Washington Post railing on about how crime is hurting his community, and something needs to be done!

Tapper has received blowback from all sides, but do you think he cares? Nope. After pocketing what was presumably a hefty advance, he doesn’t need to be concerned about his lost credibility. Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, the pompous host showed not an ounce of contrition and instead tried to keep peddling his book:

On the latest installment of CNN State of the Union, an unrepentant Jake Tapper devoted a segment to promoting his upcoming Original Sin, co-written with Alex Thompson of Axios. The promotional segment makes clear, however, that Tapper appears unwilling to take personal responsibility for his own role, and that of the broader media, in perpetrating the biggest political fraud upon the American people: the concealment of President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
Instead, Tapper shifts blame to the Democrats who, in his words, “paved the way for that which they feared the most.”

Tapper continued with his holier-than-thou gaslighting of his viewers:

And a small, secretive group of advisers kept his worried Cabinet in the dark. The presidency requires someone who can perform at 2:00 a.m. during an emergency. Cabinet secretaries in his own administration told us that, by 2024, President Biden could not be relied upon for that. And yet, until the debate and even weeks after, those in power stayed quiet. They were convinced that they were saving the country from the existential threat of Donald Trump, as they saw it, and that only Biden could beat Trump. But, instead, what they did was they paved the way for that which they feared the most. Indeed, for those who tried to justify the behavior described in our book because of the threat of a second Trump term, those fears should have shocked them into reality, not away from it.

Here is the problem, Jake: there are receipts of your culpability--lots of receipts.

Every time anyone tried to bring up facts about Biden’s decline, Jake Tapper and the corporate media covered it up.

Many in the mainstream/corrupt/legacy media seem to think this will all blow over, and that they’ll magically get their credibility back. True, both CNN and MSNBC and the like have a core of dim-witted die-hard fans that will slavishly follow their coverage no matter how much they lie, but for a large number of Americans, they can never believe these folks again.

Shame can be a debilitating emotion, but it serves a purpose: it prevents you from doing the same stupid thing over and over again. It’s too bad folks like Tapper are incapable of such a feeling, because if there’s anyone would should be haunted by it, it’s he himself as he peddles a book about a scandal he helped perpetuate.
