During pretty much the entire ill-fated tenure of Joe Biden as President of the United States, we watched in growing displeasure as his descent into dementia became more and more obvious. He was already showing signs during the 2020 campaign, but thanks to the COVID scare, Biden's campaign was able to keep him sealed safely away in what became known as the Basement Campaign. They carefully managed his appearances and statements to minimize his exposure, a tactic carried on through his presidency.
Still, a sitting president can't be completely kept away from the public, and we all watched as Biden, holding the position that arguably made him the most powerful man on the planet, deteriorated. He was showing all the signs of full-blown dementia, including difficulty in word-finding, sudden bursts of unfounded anger, inappropriate physical gestures and contact, and more. By the time of the 2022 midterm, my oldest daughter, an experienced emergency medicine professional with years of experience dealing with elderly patients, commented to me, "Dad, how long are they going to keep him in there? This is elder abuse."
Joe Biden was also accused of mishandling classified materials. (Ring any bells?) A special counsel, Robert Hur, was appointed to investigate. He had a series of interviews with Biden, leading to the infamous conclusion that Biden shouldn't be prosecuted, as he was a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Yeah, just what you need in a president.
The Heritage Foundation, intending to make these proceedings public, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to release the transcriptions and tapes of the Hur interviews. The portions of the tape that had been released were, to put it bluntly, damning.

Joe Biden filed an emergency bid to block the Department of Justice (DOJ) from releasing all the Hur interviews. Now, the D.C. Circuit Court has denied that request.

Now, the win is not complete. The D.C. Circuit has extended a temporary administrative injunction until August 3rd, giving the Biden legal team time to seek emergency relief from the Supreme Court. The decision of the D.C. Circuit states, in part:
ORDERED that the motion for an injunction pending appeal be denied. Appellant has not satisfied the stringent requirements for an injunction pending appeal. See John Doe Co. v. CFPB, 849 F.3d 1129, 1131 (D.C. Cir. 2017); see also D.C. Circuit Handbook of Practice and Internal Procedures 33 (2025). It is
FURTHER ORDERED, on the court's own motion, that this court's administrative injunction entered July 10, 2026, is hereby extended to AUgust 3, 2026, to allow Appellant, if he wishes, to seek further review.
As of this writing, the Biden camp has given no indication as to whether they will seek such a review.
Every member of the Biden administration and the Biden family has been trying, during and after Joe Biden's presidency, to cover up how bad his condition really was. America watched as the President of the United States declined; the American head of state, the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, the man with nuclear weapons release authority, was compromised by his failing mental health, and the Biden people, the legacy media, and the Democratic Party all worked like maniacs to downplay it.
Now, with this decision, it looks like we'll be handed more evidence as to how bad things really were. That's a good thing. Every American should know this. Every American has a right to know this.
