Why does the left always just make stuff up? The outpouring of corral litter from the left approaches cosmic proportions at times, as every leftist seems determined to Jussie Smollett themselves into 15 minutes of fame by just making something up out of whole cloth.

If you can't make your case by telling the truth, then you have no case. But that never seems to stop these people. In the latest, in the Los Angeles area, some guy posted a tearful video about an ICE raid on an elementary school. 

And, you guessed it - it never happened. The school district superintendent even provided the debunking.

The school mentioned in the video was Gratts Elementary, part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The fact-check included in this post from our sister site Townhall reads in part:

Fact Check: On Monday, Los Angeles Unified School District Supt. Alberto Carvalho said there was no confirmed threat to the Friday culmination at Gratts Elementary, located just west of downtown.

"We've investigated it," Carvalho said during a news conference, "and all the reports that came back was that no such event happened."

So why did this Instagram user, "@heymrhowie," lie?

Granted, the superintendent quoted in the debunking is no peach, either; in that same statement, he issued some mildly scare-mongering statements as to how parents can prepare for ICE raids. He doesn't mention the obvious one: Don't be in the United States illegally.

How many times will these people be exposed before they give up in embarrassment? How many more hate crime hoaxes being exposed will it take? I haven't run the numbers but in the last few years, it seems like for every actual "hate crime," there are at least ten hoaxes, almost always perpetrated against someone from the very ethnic/social/political/whatever group they claim are being targeted. The people they claim are doing the targeting are almost always evil white males, and almost certainly white supremacists and Republicans. 

If you took these people at their word, you would be able to find a white supremacist under any flat rock. Instead, it seems far more likely that one could find a hate crime or ICE raid hoaxer under any of these same flat rocks. 

If you can't make your case without lying, then you can't make your case at all.

I'm a bit of a stickler on this matter. My father never told a lie in his life, and he raised me to do the same. Honesty, the old man used to remind me, is an absolute. You either are, or you are not. A man, according to him, should be honest; a man of his word. These people, including @heymrhowie, are not. They are not honest, they are not trustworthy, and if they lie once, they will lie again.

And one more thing: Since when have we had elementary school graduations?
