Busted! Man Wanted for Handing Out Masks to Rioters Arrested by FBI

Rioters, looters, and rebels beware! This isn't 2020, and it's not so easy to get away with this anymore. Case in point: One Alejandro Theodoro Orellana was arrested by the FBI on Thursday for Conspiracy to Commit Civil Disorders. What was Orellana doing? Distributing face shields to suspected rioters.

U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli brings us that bit of good news.

Seeing someone in handcuffs who was supporting rioters sure is satisfying.

Fox News correspondent Matt Finn spoke with U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli, and it sure looks like we can expect more arrests like this.

Mr. Essayli informs us:

Today we executed a search warrant on the individual who was seen earlier this week distributing face shields to suspected rioters down in Los Angeles. We have made it a huge priority to try to identify, locate, and arrest those who are involved with organizing, supporting, funding, or facilitating these riots that are going on. It appears they're well-orchestrated, they're coordinated and well-funded. So we want to understand who these people are, and where this organization's coming from, and today was one of those first arrests, the key arrests that we did.

The key to all this, of course, is the funding. My colleague Nick Arama asked that question in a piece on this earlier this week:

None, or at least very little, of the organizing, supporting, or facilitating of these riots could go off without the funding. Professionally printed signs and face shields don't grow on trees, after all. While it's good to see the second-tier goblins like Alejandro Theodoro Orellana scooped up, we can hope that part of the process he's going through right now is being squeezed (within constitutional boundaries) as to who paid for the masks he was handing out. That's how these kinds of conspiracies are broken: Sweep up the foot soldiers and, when you get a few second-level people, squeeze them, get them to talk, and roll up the chain.

Someone, somewhere, is putting a lot of money into these riots. Someone, somewhere, is funding all of the "No Kings Day" horse squeeze that's coming Saturday, which threatens to blow up into a nationwide version of what we're seeing in Los Angeles.

Find the funding source. Shut that spigot off. The rest will follow.
