Like a bad penny, only louder and more annoying, Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager-Empress of Chappaqua, just keeps coming back around. It's not clear why. Her political relevance ended with her loss to President Trump in 2016. That came after a brief stint as a carpetbagger senator from New York, after which President Obama made her Secretary of State. Barack Obama is obviously an adherent to the old notion, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." But Her Imperial Majesty has a sense of entitlement the size of the Virgo Supercluster.
Nowadays, she's just annoying, a sort of antediluvian figure. Whenever there's a significant news story, she rises to the surface, blasts out some Imperial commentary on X, disables comments, and then sinks once more below the waves to rest and feed before her next outburst.
Now, she's done it again.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was brutally mocked by critics over a "delusional" X post describing the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles as "peaceful demonstrations" while pinning blame on President Donald Trump for sowing "chaos" in southern California.
"Comments off lol. She can’t handle the ratio. This is what Hillary Clinton calls 'peaceful demonstrations,'" popular conservative X account Libs of TikTok posted, referring to how comments on Clinton's post were restricted to only permit ones from accounts Clinton follows on the social media platform and accompanied by footage of the destruction in LA.
What? You think Her Imperial Majesty would deign to allow any criticism of her Imperial opinions from mere commoners? Perish the thought.
But reality has a way of puncturing illusions, even for Dowager-Empresses.
The message was in response to Clinton posting her first and only comment as of Tuesday morning regarding the Los Angeles riots, describing them as "peaceful demonstrations" before Trump mobilized the National Guard over the weekend.
"California Governor Newsom didn't request the National Guard be deployed to his state following peaceful demonstrations. Trump sent them anyway," Clinton posted on X. "It's the first time in 60 years a president has made that choice. Trump's goal isn't to keep Californians safe. His goal is to cause chaos, because chaos is good for Trump."
The comment sparked widespread backlash among critics, who repeatedly urged the former first lady to "shut up" and accused her of turning off comments to the post amid the backlash.
It's entertaining and kind of sad at the same time.

It's funny how losing an election can cause some people (Democrats) to become mentally unbalanced. Case in point: Al Gore has never been the same since the 2000 election, which was decided by a few hundred votes in a critical swing state, that being pre-DeSantis Florida. He has made ManBearPig climate change his cause, and he's still jetting about the world lecturing the rest of us on our carbon emissions, a windmill he started tilting at while George W. Bush was just making himself at home in the Oval Office.
Her Imperial Majesty didn't lose by that narrow a margin, of course, but if you remember 2016, the polls had it as a near-certainty; Her Imperial Highness was already looking at fabric swatches for the new Oval Office drapes when the word broke that Donald Trump had defenestrated her.
Now President Trump, having resumed office, is doing what needs doing to stabilize an American city in rebellion - and Her Imperial Majesty Hillary I, Dowager-Empress of Chappaqua, is once more proving that if reality is over here, then she will be over there. To the left. The far left.
